Move someplace where your data feed isn't via a tin can on a string?  Where are you, Bora Bora?

My computer has an occasional spike in lag if I've been playing for a long time. Somewhere around the 10th game of the session, I'll start seeing random huge ping spikes that cause about a half second freeze.

I've found that closing and reloading the game smooths everything out for the next 10 or so games. No idea if this is a problem with my machine or a slow memory leak in the game but I know one friend that has the same problem and the solution works for them, so if you're seeing this lag after playing for a while and not when you first start the game, then try close and reloading the game every 5 to 10 matches.

Taiwan. Our internet, and internet service, is awesome, way better than US internet. So it's an internet issue... evening here, local net is probably crowded...

Yeah, I was only jesting - suggestions above are a good place to look into your ping issues, epsecially the memory leak.  Maybe try popping up 'Task Manager' when it happens to see how your resources look and see what applications are hogging the CPU.

A college friend of mine lives in Taiwan and loves it.

Don't be running downloads while you play.. disable windows auto update, run with as a few add ons (mods) to warships as possible..

I run on a very very low spec machine..Lenova T610 thinkpad i5 laptop with 4 Gig of ram, and a Intel 4000HD video chip set.. I do how ever have good internet (most of the time) .  I output the game to a much larger second monitor (extended desktop) and typically run either Team speak or Discord up on the primary display on the lap top..  I leave my browser off while actively playing and practice extreme prejudice on application that are not core to my gaming session..  If I don't need em, they're not allowed to be open and using CPU cycles or RAM

Instant messaging apps are an especially egregious bandwidth killer especially as many are supported by advertising which means you get an add feed every few min or so that get priority over all other currently running apps.  Somebody has to pay for those IM servers to operate, and you share of the costs is you get to get advertising stuffed at you..  Even portals such as Steam can steal your bandwidth when you least expect it.

First think you must learn in multiplayer gaming is "Computer multi tasking" is a lie...  computers can do more then one thing at a time but they are still limited by Motherboard buss speeds, I/O speeds to storage media,  Bandwidth limitation on LAN/WAN, and Internet,

and kludge programming or even installed apps that get a higher default CPU priority then what you want to run (certain IM apps pull that crap..I used to get bounced out of games because someone would IM me with a video they wanted me to see and the IM app went full honk on the automatic download of the video killing my connect to the game.. no more!)

You might have a not so good ISP, but most likely the issue in inside the computer your sitting in front of, and bad computing habits.

Downloading anything while playing Warships is asking for trouble..Even if you have fantastic internet speeds your still going to have an issue when your computer file management system finishes up what ever your downloading, and heaven help you if it's an installer that auto launches when it finishes downloading..

Know how things work, and don't ask a machine to do what it cannot.  Computers are machines..

I experienced similar issues Sunday night. 3 games with massive [occasional] lag / ping at 600ms+, etc. during the 3 matches I played. Normally, I get about 35ms ping or so. Not sure what was going on, if it was my Internets or something between me and WG....

(and when you are playing a BB with a slow turret turn time, the game becomes unplayable ... :P)
