I have been harassed by a certain player who I will call J4. He continually sent me messages in port chat telling me why I'm a bad player and that his stats are better than mine etc etc.

IDGAF. really I play for fun.. strange concept I know a game played for fun. I have all the T10 ships except CV's I suck at them and don't find them fun. same with the shima and zao I got them then sold them ... BORING!!!!. I prefer to play aggressively and would rather brawl in the GK than hide and sneak around spamming HE and spamming torps. But that's just me.

I just wish that some people would let go of their desire to be recognised as a great player. I'm not saying I'm terrible, I get good games but I would rather push my GK right to within 4 km of 2 Yammies while my team caps than sit in the back spamming the map telling people where to go and what to do.

I suppose it would be different if the game rewarded team based play but it doesn't it recognises individual results and then increase or decreases based on win or lose.

Back to J4 he was in Blys shouting out orders to the team while the rest of us were capping, shooting ships and having a great time. He died at J4 hence the name. I managed 3 kills and 110k damage in Kutuzov while J4 continued through out the whole match being salty as can be. after the match my chat in port was spammed for 10 minutes by him telling me how great he is and how terrible I am.

SO DEAR J4 I DONT CARE DUDE  just have fun and enjoy the game.

I'll play for fun in which eva mode I please. except ranked which is for wins as winning is rewarded for team play!!

When war gamming rewards me with Money for wins then I may change my view.

I enjoy winning as much as the next player but I wont lose my head or insult people cause I expect them all to do what I tell them like a little Hitler.

So people have to play the game your way or they shouldn't play it? Attitudes like that are what kill the online population of games. So if you want less people playing the game, do keep it up.

If you're playing for fun you should have just ignored him since it doesn't sound like talking to him was fun. It sounds like you probably kept feeding him encouragement to talk poorly about you.

I'm not blaming it on you, but it sounds like you make it a big deal yourself despite playing for fun. If he was trolling it sounds like he's pretty satisfied with how much you reacted.

We all play for different reasons - so what - as long as we are enjoying the game - the WoWs community will grow.

Did J4 help this?  No.

 

If WoWs has a problem - it is highlighted in Ranked battles.

It is a Team game - but usually there is 4 - 7 individual battles = loss.

Maybe they should introduce a Team leader - or something.

This could be employed in Random as well ....
