Didn't play as much as I originally planned to--must've burned out Sunday evening. Anyway, pretty good here. Took my Hipper out, got to 14th skill point on her captain, saving for 15th cause need that CE skill, and pulled a few respectable scores, of course had a derp T8-10 team in Epicenter that split between getting kills and objective, so naturally we lost badly.

Did have a good match on Atlantic where I touched enemy team in chat, one guy barks only he can touch himself, and later by some strange coincidence while closing to torp a NM, he pops up in his Nurnberg, our bow armor bounces each other's AP, so we settle for mutual torping each other and laughed about it.

Praise the RNGesus! I finally got salty players to lol at:

1) Some more grinding in Bayvern cause want Bismarck. Mostly just take stock of minimap, see where to position, and hope I get enough reds to shoot at. Well, had a T5-7 (Neighbors) where Hatsu on enemy team dodges our Kiev's torps, hides in smoke, and brags he can't be touched. Well about 8 minutes later he's spotted going near an island, Kiev ambushes and gets a DS, and I asked," who said he couldn't be touched?" Hatsu player was extremely salty--ended up 2nd bottom on his team in XP! (corrected the ships, mixed up Fubuki and Kiev)

2) Did one match in ARP Myoko (Solomon Islands), both teams are evenly matched except enemy has 1 Minekaze, we got no DDs. He takes out a cruiser and then one of our BBs that beached, I go with a Schors that's gambling on capping enemy base, he runs into a Konig going in reverse out of middle, gets shrekt badly but survives, I see a chance and throw torps, then I spotted the Minekaze who immediately smokes, and I chase with hydro w/ Schors doing long-range fire support. I berated the Minekaze player for being a wimp that didn't brawl (as rushing me with engine boost, which he should've figured out, is a viable tactic against an IJN CA given the 15-second RoF) and he spews all kinds of trash talk, but I shut him down with a "lol"

-And yeah, thanks to Schors guy, we were able cap the enemy base and turn the battle around. It was glorious.

Interestingly had like 2-3 matches with no underage ships:

e2qbW46.pngDD-free matches tend to be more fun, but that's just me.

ATL is pretty good at printing credits, and I got a Kraken in her when I aimed for it. Lol!

Probably the most fun during the weekend was this 90 seconds in my Clemson:

I played mostly Nagato, I was hoping to earn the 15th point on that captain but suffered some very disappointing losing streaks Friday and Saturday. Yesterday I unlocked the Amagi and took her out raw all stock parts and skills and won 5 straight lol, go figure.

Went cycling on the east coast of Taiwan. Steady pounding rain on the back of three recent typhoons turned it into amphibious expedition, with washouts, landslides, and streams breaking down walls to flow across the main east coast highway. Never seen so much water in 20+ years on the island.

Good to be back...

Wasn't be best, but certainly wasn't my worst... (I think the 2d stats are in my sig today as of this reply).

14 battles - 57%, 50k avg dmg, 1353 avg exp, 1.9 k/d, 1169 WTR - considering what was out there in pub battles, I'll take it.

Oh, and managed to get the Nachi ... working on the tier 4/5- ARP mission this week, time-permitting.

I just got detonated 4 times out of the 5 co-op matches I've played today, two destroyers, one battleship and one cruiser.

Rode the ranked yo-yo. Didn't leave myself enough time to play randoms in cruisers to get the Long Cruise mission done. Feels weird leaving missions uncompleted.

Finished the cruiser challenge on friday, but my winrate was barely over 50%. Really struggled to get a measly 15 wins, even if the last win was a great game for several reasons, because cruisers aren't exactly my strongest type.

Sat and Sun was just mimimum games for the dailys due to other commitments, About the same win rate.

I lost 11 games in a row when I decided to start on the Russian line. Both T2 ships have a 0% WR before I decided to just free XP the rest to T3.

Low-tier is not my thing. Very different gameplay and hard to carry.

Finally found my groove in my ranked Benson. Not many games but 100% WR. Several games were quite close, literally coming down to myself and another ship, including a game of hide and seek from an enemy Bismarck to run out the clock.

Probably 8 more games away from a 15pt captain. That should make things even easier.

Got Nachi. Went 0 for 3 in Ranked at Rank 15 and bailed, as T8 gets expensive when you don't win, Slight profit with the Benson, broke even with New Orleans, had a good game in North Carolina with over 90,000 damage points and 2 sinks, got sunk, and still lost money on the deal in a loss. Went back to Random and ran over 50% win rate on Saturday and Sunday, made a pile of credits and XP, watched the Jays beat the Rangers (Yes!). Today is our Thanksgiving, so Happy Thanksgiving to all.

It was good for me!

I pretty much took the week off due to burnout, and lack of motivation to play.   Decided to jump back in this weekend.

Saturday was cruiser day.  I worked on all of my grinders, and even brought my Omaha out of mothballs for a few games.   There were some mixed results- to be expected on a weekend, and with a BB heavy queue.  But, I had some very good games in Indy, Yorck and Pepsi.  Even had some good Omaha games!   Surprisingly, there were a lot of guys playing cruisers on Sat, and lots of matches with only a couple or no BB's.   Aoba continued to be a hard nut to be effective in...   Kirov stayed home.

Sunday was the complete opposite- the queue was chock full of BB's, and very few cruisers.  BB day for me!  I literally played EVERY US BB I own (and there are many!), and all of my Germans save Scharnhorst (which hasn't been set up to play yet), and Terpitz ( mine has defective guns that refuse to do damage to anything...)  Even Kongo got to come out and play.    I don't know how many matches I played, but it was a TON.   Each ship got at least three games, most of them got more.

The end results in a nutshell:

More than 2 million credits earned.

Several captain points earned.

Additionally, Texas has it's mojo back!!!!  I had so much fun in it, I dug out NY and played that ,too!   Played aggressively at mid to close range, that ship is a BEAST.  I sunk a near full health NY with a single glorious broadside!  Total offhand shot, too- I spotted it beyond the carcass of a ship I'd just sink, and just reacted- no aiming involved.   The whole match pretty much went like that, lol.

I'd characterize my entire day's playstyle as aggression.  If it got in my way, I went all HULK SMASH! on it.  Worked well!

Also, I rediscovered Arizona.  For whatever reason, that ship just clicked with me yesterday.  I love the tight groupings!  It's an either you can aim, or you can't, kinda ship.  12 14" shells landing on anything this ship sees will ruin any crew's day.   Came very close to several 100k damage games- I just ran out of things to crush!  ( or the team capped out)   I had one lol bad salvo that scattered everywhere, and only one shell hit- right on the "tree house" at the top of the mast.  I thought to myself: "Well, that gave the guy in the crow's nest something to think about, didn't it?"

It was a good day.  Teams that actually communicated and worked together!   Some funny banter in chat.   One game, my NM and a Fuso were headed towards A cap on New Dawn.  Along the way, we were set upon by a couple of ships that left B to come at us, and 2 red BB's that were also in the area.   One of the former was a Kongo, that got right in my face- then ignored me to shoot at the Fuso behind me.   Going broadside to a New Mexico at point blank range- in a battlecruiser???   That's a paddlin!   All we got out of that was roughed up a bit by his secondaries.    We continued towards A, where two enemy NM's were headed.   At that point, someone got on chat and said Don't let them get A cap!!!   We split up- me headed directly at the NM that was almost to A, and Fuso hung back to duke it out with the second who was charging down the slot between A and B.   I made it into the cap before he did, and landed a sweet 17 or 18k salvo on him to get the party started.  After that, it was an epic close quarters brawl, with both of us beating the HELL out of each other.  ( that stinker kept shooting my turrets out!!)   We ended up so close to each other, that our ship's sides slammed together, and KA-FRIGGIN-BLOOEY!!   A ram kill.  I got on chat and said "Well, that wasn't QUITE what I intended- but I'll take it!"   Someone replied " Hey- you killed him and saved the cap didn't you? that's all that matters."   I then spectated the rest of Fuso's duel with the other NM.   It was touch and go, until he sailed behind an island, stopped broadside, and waited for NM to come.   As soon as it cleared the island, Fuso unleashed a picture perfect broadside, that utterly annihilated that NM!  That was a fun game!

I think I used up all of my compliments yesterday, too.
