I'm kidding. I'm not starting another bloody thread about the 5.12 economy. I looked through the first 3 pages of this forum, posted in the last 3 days, and I stopped counting after the first 20 threads on the subject.

Well I have to admit, this NEW ECONOMY is (IMHO) a hell a lot worse than before. I don't make much money anymore rather than losing a couple 10's of thousands than gaining it in the recent patch. And of course, the PVE income needs massive fix and this update ruined it and I see that WG made ONLY this economy towards focusly on PVP, but then again, they [edited] up the PVE (the only mode I play on and the ONLY reason why I play WOWS if it weren't for it, then I wouldn't be playing WOWS compare to WOT) big time. I just hope they'll fix it right back up in the next update or two. Afterall, I'll not be playing WOWS as much as everyday when I come back home from work bcuz of this economy [edited] up the PVE. :facepalm:

Hey, you have my sympathy on the PvE economy. They screwed up, and I hope they patch it soon.

 

It's fantastic in PvP though.

Well I have to admit, this NEW ECONOMY is (IMHO) a hell a lot worse than before. I don't make much money anymore rather than losing a couple 10's of thousands than gaining it in the recent patch. And of course, the PVE income needs massive fix and this update ruined it and I see that WG made ONLY this economy towards focusly on PVP, but then again, they [edited] up the PVE (the only mode I play on and the ONLY reason why I play WOWS if it weren't for it, then I wouldn't be playing WOWS compare to WOT) big time. I just hope they'll fix it right back up in the next update or two. Afterall, I'll not be playing WOWS as much as everyday when I come back home from work bcuz of this economy [edited] up the PVE. :facepalm:

Yep and to think it has not even been a full day yet . People are just to impatient to give anything some time to adjust themselves or understand something .

I like the new economy. I am not having any issues making credits at all. The only thing i don't like about it is the scrubs and campers have no idea what to do with themselves even more so now. 

They lose credits and blame the game when it is pretty much all their fault. The game will no longer carry you without you having to at least put some effort into helping your team and this does not mean 

playing stupidly by doing things like a yolo.....

PvE income...? What PvE income? PvE isn't going to suppose to have income.

 

You're not even supposed to continuously play in PvE. It's JUST A TRAINING GROUND.

 

The economy in PvE is SPECIFICALLY set up so people cannot continue to play it all the time. It is meant for newbies to learn, it is meant for people to test out ships without affecting other people or their random winrate (for those... special people who care about that). It... is not... supposed... to be continuously played....

 

This is not an opinion. This is a fact.

 

PvE is not "chill". PvE is boring and literally target practice against things that may as well not be fighting back. No challenge- no reward.

The problem with the new economy is it HEAVILY reduced gains of GOOD PLAYERS who were playing appropriately and also taking near no damage. Even if they make about the same credits, they now lose a HELL of a lot more than before since now they're essentially paying an 80% repair cost 100% of the time even if they do very well in terms of not dying while they wreck face.

 

FURTHERMORE- the WHOLE POINT of this change was to discourage camping. All this has done is literally make the economy LESS punishing on campers. When people camp- their team loses. When their team loses- they're hunted down and killed. They were already always paying 100% repair bills while getting almost no credits for lack of participation. NOW they're only paying 80% repair bills worth of credits and still not getting credits.

 

This new system went full [edited]. It is LESS punishing on the people it's supposed to be and MORE punishing on the people it's supposed to REWARD.

 

I swear to god- WG testing crapbefore they release it is a bald faced lie. Whoever the hell came up with this idea should be fired.

When their team loses- they're hunted down and killed. They were already always paying 100% repair bills while getting almost no credits for lack of participation. NOW they're only paying 80% repair bills worth of credits and still not getting credits.

My problem with this update is now it's incredibly expensive to run tier 10 cruisers with many premium consumables, my typical zao game where I was destroyed costed me around 250k with consumables, now it costs me a flat 300k every game, even if I don't take a point of damage. My suggestion would be make the max repair cost 180k like it is right now, but have the cost scale based on how much damage you recieve, because I'm sorry but only a very few select people actually sit back bc they worry about repair costs, the cause of all the passive play is HE spam and torp walls. People don't want to lose their ship because if you push, you lose your ship extremely quickly and once it's gone, you have no more impact on the outcome of the game.

Humans are funny creatures. Like that kid at Christmas who opens your present, pulls out the toy, and plays with the box. You can get angry at the child for disrespecting you and not playing with the toy you got him the way hes meant to, or just be happy that the kids found a way to have fun.

 

One of those responses is very childish indeed. And thats a fact.

My theory always was that they'd find a new excuse for camping. CVs? Neutered. Shimakazes? Neutered. Economy? Adjusted. Campers are running out of excuses, maybe they should just admit its their playstyle already instead of blaming core game mechanics.

Understand THIS !  I am not the kind of person that judges something ( especially in a game ) or people in short period of time . I am willing to sit back and see what something or someone works out to be . Helps keep my anger and blood pressure down .

The new economy system is generally beneficial to my game play. I have tested using carriers yet but my BBs DDs and CAs feel good. At least in PvP...As I don't really play PvE

honestly- I have only played 1 game so far, but it was not a 12V12 and I made far more credits for less effort playing the same way that I played before the patch. I am digging it

If you play T9-10 ships and you do well you make a profit, play poorly and you lose Creds just like before.

 

If anything this will help when I play DD and get wrecked trying to cap in the first 2 minutes...

The new economy is not fixed, it was never broken. It is functioning exactly how they want it to function. In fact the changes they claim to have improved the economy only improved it for them and they are playing us all for fools. And the proof of it is in this specific change - "We standardised maintenance costs. They no longer scale with damage taken." What this means is that at tier 10 when you play a battleship, just for loading into the game you HAVE to pay 180,000 silver. Regardless of whether you win or lose, even if your ship did not receive any damage at all.

 

The biggest stealth nerf to our earnings they did was the nerf to Premium ships silver earnings. For example the Tirpitz, they turned the ship into a floating fireball and smashed its earnings by more than 25%. That is what really f*****d things up! Majority of my games where in that ship and I farmed up almost every other tier 10 ship playing it. Ever since the change I slowly had to sell off ships just so I could afford to continue being able to play. Essentially I was no longer able to earn silver and I was no longer able to earn XP with the Tirpitz so I no longer had a reason to convert XP anymore. Meaning I went from spending 100-200 a month on the game to nothing at all.

In my personal opinion, the changes, though far from perfect, will at least make my Arizona into Bacchus, if you know what I mean...

I can believe DD not taking damage, but still helping the team. Not a BB. It's a good thing if the BB skippers who are afraid to get their paint scratched are getting punished.

If you are in a BB and not pushing caps in one way or another, you are going to suffer. You don't need to YOLO in, but making a push at the right time is really the best way to earn now.

They did the exact opposite. Campers who failed to do mission requirements paid heavily on repair costs because they earn't very little because the majority of the time they'd be the last ones left and would die anyways. This change has made it less penalising for them. These people at Wargaming are idiots! Seriously.

I've been saying it for a while now but I don't think WG can or will face this issue.

 

It's never been the credit cost that's stopped me from pushing forwards, (though it does mean I play less T9 and T10 games than I'd like) it's the fact that pushing forwards at the wrong time is death due to laser targetted HE, multiple fires and torp walls. This can be mitigated through good team work, but that's a rare thing.
