Sort of. I don't drink often, and then only a single beer in an evening, just for the taste. This time though I decided to get myself something stronger: Hot 'n Sweet, a Danish liquor. It's Vodka, with crushed 'Tyrkisk Peber' sweets dissolved in it. These are a hard candy filled with salmiak and pepper, giving the murky black booze a licorice-esque scent and a very spicy and very sweet aftertaste. Hence the name. It's 32% vol (64 proof). My bottle is considerably bigger than the one pictured, I just chose this bottle to show off because it shows the drink itself. Unfortunately I don't think it's available in the US, but over here in Europe it's popular enough that the vast majority of liquor stores stock it, at a price of roughly $20 per 700cc. Ok, so, I'm a lightweight where alcohol is concerned, and I don't want to get really drunk drunk, but I'm definitely feeling the buzz. So, do you play drunk / buzzed? What's your poison? Last time was when I was at a friends place in a going away party. But, it was my favorite rum. Sailor Jerry mixed with coke. I had fun drunk playing siipping on Sailor Jerry and Root Beer. So yummy and tastes like a root beer float. But, I do play under the influence by the aforementioned smokable plant. Keep me chill. Here in Colorado where it seems as though we have a beer pub brewery every other block with a herbal dispensery in between each of those blocks doing anything at all less than buzzed is a major exercise in discipline and control. The point where you are buzzed but slightly too buzzed to be considered buzzed. But not drunk enough to be considered drunk. Then maintain that finely tuned line all night long. All at the same time trying not to run into the 20 ships in front of you. Dodge the 50 million islands like pop randomly out of know where. OH Crap!!! TORPEDO!!!!! Dammit!Now you are dead. You should be ashamed. In all seriousness, my drink of choice is local beer. Easy to keep a balance without going too far overboard and has the best taste overall for me, while also supporting the industry that has helped bring this city back from the brink.
