They have been removed for the super testers. So no surprise, As well you should expect the Premium to be released first then a patch or 2 later the Line should be release. But the line in general, is being worked on for now.

Your question indicates you are interested in the RN Cruisers. Yet you haven't noticed the MULTIPLE sources (Both here and elsewhere) telling us they've been delayed?

no. if anything we will most likely see Perth and the new IJN line come first as they have been added to the client for supertesting. Although the HMS CL was added prior, I don't know if they're still being retweaked based on their previous combat effectiveness with their smoke and flamethrowers

They said they don't want to implement more smoke/fire spam into the game. It's mentioned in the dev Q&A that's currently going.

After 5 years of development, WG changed their plan for RN Cruisers, realizing that a smoke an HE fest + releasing a bunch of clones to the Ranked reward ship, probably wouldn't have been good for the game.

So they did a complete about face, tried to turn them into fast gunboats and realized that probably isn't going to work well either....

In order to extract the maximum amount of money from player's pockets, the new lines need to be slightly better than the old ones....to promote players converting XP to play them.:trollface:

They are pushed back for complete new designing.

 

Initially they were smoke and invis HE spammers but now WG is going to remove HE and smoke completely from them(except for HMS Emerald) and give a unique AP bonus as well as special engine boost and unique repair consumable will be available tier 8.

Thing is, a BB goes bow on and suddenly the RN CLs won't damage it since everything will bounce.

 

They will either have to have great penetration characteristics or.. HE will have to be rethought.

 

I predict RN CLs will be in Supertest for a while longer.. maybe 0.5.14?

The RN is never late, nor is she early, she arrives precisely when she means to.

 

They test another setup for RN cruisers. Beside the t1 and t5 none of them will have HE ammo but the AP ammo will do more damage even the shell didn't penetrate. The few I meet with ST sit in smoke and set ships afire by the sheer number of shells they put in the air. Like the Flint but with better rifles. If things work out they will be ingame with 5.13 (end of October?).

I realize their "need" for national flavor, but why not just rework them by removing the smoke and still giving them HE and AP shells?  Make them rapid fire cruisers with low fire chance or something.  I just don't understand the rationale in making them AP only.  

 

What is a 5-6" AP shell going to be able to do to an angled target?

Ahh found it

Their alpha damage is lowered initially 3200, to

1400 till tier 4

1500 on tiers 5 to 8

1600 on tier 9 to 10.

When a RN cruiser AP shell hits anywhere except the citadel, its damage will be 1/2, instead of the usual 1/6.

We're hoping it will been an armor piercing shell all to its own...not shared by any other ship in the game.  People whined about HE spamming..

Ok, fine.  Get a few salvos of this.  

What? can leave the engagement fast enough?  There will be no slow burning.  Every ship will have a set number of hit points that will specifically react to the RN AP.

Like the Atlanta, they won't be popular until 10 skill sets and up are applied.

 

If my guess is correct, some of the RN cruisers will be the most sought after ships in the entire game.  Players will flock in droves.  

This along with the improved IJN destroyer line will make the last quarter of 2016 a milestone year for WG...if they hurry it up.
