I haven't tried it, cuz I'm not in the country right now...

What is the exact reload time and fire range?

 

so it is 4.5s reload and about 11.6km range (with aft, 14km)?

Who the hell can tell me why it has shorter range than Kiev???

if wg wants to nerf soviet dd's, why not nerf kiev tashkent udaloy and khaba as a whole????

reload was like 4.5 seconds without any mods, and range was like 14km with aft

Having played it and Udaloi about 4 games each on PTR, I liked Udaloi better.  Udaloi felt fun and capable, while Khab felt...just awkward and somehow lacking punch even when shooting at tier 9s.  Small sample size I know, but that's what I have to report.

 

A lot of things other than the nerf could be contributing to that, including my personal preferences, but it definitely cemented my decision not to move past Kiev on live.

So it just loses 0.5s reload time and 1.6km range? Sounds fair enough

 

also gains a big rudder shift buff in the process so yea, wasn't really nerfed hard

if the shells haven't been nerfed, I think khaba is just like what it is currently in game

I was using it to hunt other DDs.

It is just as good at doing that if not better cuz not u can have turning upgrade.

I didn't felt as comfortable engaging BBs and CAs coming from ships with longer range like Tashkent and Udaloi.

 

I don't really agree with the route they went with the nerf.

Should've left guns,which is the soviet national flavour, alone and nerfed armor, which is too good even vs cruiser HE.

 

Don't have that ship on live so can't say how different it feel.

that doesn't mean anything to me

I play this ship as a light cruiser, for which rudder shift is rarely used for dodging...

Zao HE works real gud on kebab, 8-10k salvos almost every time

14km range with 4-2 captain skill???

even shorter than kiev and tashkent???

 

yesh, but armor extremely resilient to DD HE and Cruiser AP. Also fastest ship in game, with flags and engine boost can top out at 48.5 knots, and best AA on a t10 dd, unless gearing puts aa ability up.

It was PT, I was yoloing a lot.

brawling with other DDs is fun. It can even win against the Gearing with the Stalinium armor up close. 

I found myself just engaging DDs a lot more.

 

The shorter range was very noticeable when fighting CAs and BBs. Also have to be careful of those manual secondary Yamato and Kurfurst with 10.5km range.

Oh and pretty sure new range is 13.7km not 14?

Equip steering gear module, and this thing is just as hard to hit at 13.7km as it is at 15.7km.

 

Overrall, considering i play this ship daily on the live server, this is a disappointing nerf.

Actually, I'm thinking a CA with a nuclear powerplant, a jet-pump engine, stalinium armor and shells, a futuristic FCS complete with a bow wrapped around the bridge with the words, "Historically accurate" on it.

Honestly the range doesn't mean have to be more than 10 klicks when it comes to fighting dds from other nations, as their arcs make it near impossible for them to hit you at that range. The guns do lose range, but gain insane levels of HE and AP performance in return.

Because Kiev was already nerfed hard. She was so ridiculously overpowered for tier 7 previously that they lowered her HP tremendously (and took away her invisifire capacity). She's still a really good ship, but you have to play her at max range or she melts thanks to her low HP pool; if they shortened her range along with Uda and Khab, she'd become near-unplayable. If they cut her range, they need to boost her hp significantly to compensate for the increased damage she'd take fighting at reduced range.

Anyone who denies that Khab is the most OP ship in the game currently is living in a bubble. I guess just as with IJN DD nerf, WG is going route of discouraging long-range sniping gameplay and invisi-fire. They want people to get in close, risk their ship, cap, contribute and go with high-risk, high-reward, low-risk/low-reward gameplay.

 

Khab was low-risk, high-reward. As is Zao, as is any BB that snipes, or any DD that invisi-torps, or any ship that invisi-fires, or any ship that fires from smoke or any CV that one-shots a full health BB. Patch by patch, slowly but surely, WG is penalizing severely or even outright taking out of the game these types of gameplay .

Ummm because the Khabarovsk is stupidly overpowered at T10. The Udaloi less so, which is why it is only getting a longer reload.

 

I really hope you're being sarcastic and not so oblivious as to not understand why the Khabarovsk is getting nerfed.
