You know you can tell when someone hasn't joined the game and someone who just "quits" - the aft guns on the quitters' ships rotate forward. The true AFK's guns never change position. So you can't just load up and walk out...

I personally do not like epicenter because it is so tough to stop a team once one of them has capped or the fact that once your teams DD's are dead then you're usually screwed. However, there are constructive ways to protest and non constructive ways (forfeiting a match). I understand if you do not like it but please go about it in a constructive way and that will guarantee the highest chance that it gets changed.

 

This is not the way to do things. It'll just lead to a ban

Well, the "why" doesn't really matter all that much.  But IMO, this sounds like grounds for a suspension if he refuses to fight on certain maps/game modes.  It violates the game's EULA.
