Expand the role and floatplane type for cruiser class

With the Soviet line of ships having cruisers that carry spotter type float planes, might it be possible to allow other nations the same choice. As it stands the other nations are equipped with the fictitious/make believe fighter floatplanes. It might be interesting to allow the other nations to be equipped with historically operational types of floatplanes as is follows:

It would also be interesting to see the expansion of cruiser class of ship borne float plane roles. In addition to the spotter role, it might be neat to see it expanded to the role of scouting as well. Shoot I would also be happy to see ships depicted with full complement of aircraft.

I would like the whole spotter plane thing to be reworked myself, I'm less interested in increased range and more interested in increased spotting. I can't hit anything from the spotter plan perspective anyways, so I always take the fighter when I can. (Though its mostly worthless)

I would make this a premium CL.  Ultimate spotting with long flight times.

I kinda like this.  The fighter is currently the better spotter, as it spots incoming torps and sticks around much longer.  I'd like to see the spotter plane made controllable, rather than providing increased range.  A single, vulnerable plane that you can move about with waypoints, scouting from the air in the way a CV might.

- High tier cruisers already have the option of mounting spotters. I don't have one right now to confirm, but IIRC that starts at T8. It's simply not as useful as a fighter.

 

- There's not much point in adding different spotters, since they all do the same thing. for now anyway.

That would screw too much with DDs abilities to remain hidden, giving spotter plane differen commands sa. aggressive ; passive ; defensive where he would stay hidden when carrier fighters are around ( harder to kill ) might work however.

I would adore to actual control my spotter to spot destroyers and carriers. Since these Scout planes are the eyes of the fleet historically. At the cost of cruisers and battleships having few of them with a exception of the Tone and Mogami class. There health and speed would be abit on the slow side as well but they can be mounted on gunships and had decent vision range, compared to other aircraft.

 

But It's just a escort cruisers job to assist with that, right?

 

In truth I would love to copy and paste aircraft and aa mechanics from navyfield 1.

Not sure about the tier 8s having option of going with spotter aircraft instead of fighter. Have tier 8 USS New Orleans, Mogami and the Admiral Hipper, only option given is the fighter.
