How to div up with friends if no connection to the server

So a lot of people (myself included) have had issues connecting to the chat server.  I've found it takes about 5 minutes before my connection is established.  HOWEVER, if you don't want to wait that long or that doesn't work, here's how you can div up with friends even if they aren't showing up as online:

 

1.  Have your friend click on "looking for division"

2.  You go to that same section.  Scroll down the list.

3.  ????

4.  Send your friend a division invite.

5.  ????

6.  Profit.

What about the third person?

 

You must rely on one of the guys to have their chat server available.

They have to fix this issue. Has been happening on and off for the past few days.

Had they acknowledged the bug and are they working on a fix? Haven't heard any official word.

Odd thing happened, not sure if anyone else came across this.. In a division, I cannot type an 'A' in any word or the entry box just resets.. Not sure if it has anything to do with the screwy chat server.
