Simple, prey to the God RNG to have mercy of your citadel, otherwise hide behind a rock or glue yourself to a BB. :hiding:

I enjoy her, keep things at max range, shoot HE.  Avoid being the target with as many allied shields as possible, but don't just let them die. Because of how touchy your citadel is, when you 1 V 1, fishtail like a DD, as you have torpedoes - and if you get close enough, use them.

Dodge like a maniac. Sometimes being closer is better, but only if it's on your terms... Like when the BBs guns are pointing the other way, and you can donate gobbs of HE shells without the BB shooting back.

Dance, dance, dance to survive. Spam HE on just about everything. Use AP on T3 to T6 CL when they show a broadside. The Phoenix is quite a performer if you can do this. She is better than the Kuma...

I feel really bad everytime I delete a Phoenix in my T5 BB.  Feels really guilty.  I wish they were not as easy to citadel.

Key to playing a phoenix, is keep the speed up and NEVER sail the same course for more than 3-4 seconds. As soon as you let a BB or CL or even a DD get a bead on your path you are done for. I rip apart phoenix' in my Clemson. I love it when a phoenix captain sails straight because by the time they start turning I have ripped them a new port hole.
