I am still kinda new to the game and if I have made an incorrect statement or a question let me know.

1. For the love of god, where the hell is the damage counter, SHOWN DURING THE GAME, don't you pay attention to an OBVIOUS thing the players want WG????  WoT still does not have one after

more than 6 years, so pathetic.

ANSWERED, SEE BELOW, I MISSED IT

2. Please quit the tactics of bringing ships for sale, taking them away, then bringing them back like some kind of special thing.  If I want to buy or decide to buy a ship, make it available when I want it.

NO REAL GOOD ANSWER GIVEN YET

3. I have seem to be blown up when I do team damage, not sure the mechanic or when it decides to do this, but so far seems like a good thing.

OPINIONS VARY ON THIS

4.  Whey the hell can't I see my stats in the UI so I can see how I am doing?

ANSWERED, SEE BELOW, I MISSED THIS TOO

5.  Why don't they list damage in the team screen at the end of battle along with the other stats?

NEW

6.  Although I love that prem ships are as good, maybe even better than some of the same tier regular line ships, with 2 good prem tier 8 cruisers, now I don't feel the need to have any other t8 cruiser.

NOT SURE HOW TO FEEL ABOUT THIS

1. Already included, as mentioned.

2. WG wants to make money, and it needs to. Otherwise we can't play the game.

3. If you have a teamkiller status, that damage is reflected back to you.

4. You can access in the Profile tab in the game, under "summary".

I like how you get angry while being the new guy... Why does it have to be like this? :smart_fish:

It's not team killing that keeps people from playing the game. It's playing 13 games and winning only one of them.

The life of anyone trying to grind CVs with a 2 skill captain. Get ready to get stomped by that other guy with his 15 skill one.

I should not be, it carried over from WOT.  I gotta stop it, this game for some reason is a lot less frustrating....

Yea. The skills thing is completely bogus. There should be a limit on how many skills can be used per tier. It's simply stupid on a level incomprehensible to have 15 skill players facing guys just starting out.

That is something that needs to be more controlled.

4.  Whey the hell can't I see my stats in the UI so I can see how I am doing?

1. As someone already mentioned the setting, I would like to say that I agree with you that perhaps the setting should be turned on by default. I'd also agree that it's completely baffling how WoT doesn't even have a damage counter after all of these years. But then, that probably shows the difference in the design/developer team and where their priorities are and how receptive they are to community input. WoWS to its credit does seem to listen pretty good. WoT, well, I better not say.

It's not team killing that keeps people from playing the game. It's playing 13 games and winning only one of them.

Agreed! I've had two days like that this past week and it sucks hard. No matter how good I do sometimes, I can have the best game of my life, but we lose somehow. Or be on what seems to be a really nice team that jumps out to the early lead and is capping all the spots, but then end up losing because the other team outlasted us.

I like how you get angry while being the new guy... Why does it have to be like this? :smart_fish:

Usually it's this way due to the veteran players not stepping up and giving assistance to newer players. Too many of them would rather sit around all day flexing their leetness and banner stats than to lift one finger to welcome new players and making the community as strong as it could be. Or too many would rather sit around handing out "potato medals" when they name and shame new players or someone just having a bad game, making fun of them, etc. That actually drives away more players than the longest of MM-induced losing streaks. So a social clique wants to be top dog in the game at everyone else's expense? They will only have to blame themselves if this turns into the next WoWP where 95% of participants are Artificial Intelligence.

How many games do you think I've had someone say "Hey guys, I'm new and could use some advice"? How many games do you think I've had a BB sail immediately to the side of the map, stay 20km from everything, and when questioned about it says "Shut up, you play your way and I'll play mine"?

Which number would you guess is higher?

4.  Whey the hell can't I see my stats in the UI so I can see how I am doing?

I neglected to give my input on the other 3 things you listed.

2. I agree with this one. While I understand they may want to budget and plan out their income, on the other hand they could end up with way more disposable cash-on-hand by simply allowing the ships to be purchased 24/7/365. As I try and point out to them endlessly, there are way more players like me who are poor than there are wealthy players. While the wealthy players obviously chip in their share of the money, the poorer players could contribute a significant portion over time simply buy, as one example, a player that can only afford to buy 1500 doubloons a month. After a few to several months, yay, they finally got the money for their Eugen. One problem, it's no longer able to be purchased. Then they are torn, wait until it may or may not go on sale again? Buy another ship instead? Or in the cash of the player setting aside, say, $10-15 a month, after several months of saving up more than the $50+ for that ship they want that is now no longer on sale, too many get frustrated, "Overwatch was just released, all my friends are playing it. Suck it, imma buy Overwatch". And WG loses money without even knowing it.

3. I don't know if this game has that but I've heard of something like that happening in WoT where a player who continues to fire at a tank suddenly exploded or is otherwise removed from the game via the in-game security and reporting system. The team damage thing in WoT auto-reports immediately upon doing enough team damage and if it continues I think the system automatically intervenes to both stop it and auto-ban the player for a set amount of time. Happened to my roommate in WoT recently.

4. About the only way you can know fully how good you're doing is via the ribbons and damage listing that will be in the upper right corner of the screen. If you cannot find that then there should be a setting for it in the settings menu.

Being the second example you give is a blue or purple player doing that, then I'd say they are the overwhelming toxic players who have infected this game with these leetmongering and arrogant attitudes.

EDIT: As a newer player, and someone will still only around 600 battles, which means I'm far less experienced than a lot of the more regular playing veterans, I used to routinely ask at the beginning of a match "What's the plan?" or "Which spots we focusing, A and B or B and C?" or even ask on the maps where teams are split on two sides, "Are we going north or south?" I have picked up on those things about the general tactics of doing certain things. And due to the fact that I'm neither a Nimitz, Rommel or Galland... I tend to watch, learn and ask questions. You'd be surprised at the amount of times the "good" players tell me to STFU or "stop acting like a noob, noob!" or "you haven't learned how to play this game yet? You're in a tier 4/5/6!"

I have never seen anyone remotely competent sail off to the side of the map, slinging shells from near max range. Nor would they put up unicum stats doing that.

Unfortunutly this game does not have a clear manual in one place were the finer details are readily available, so your pretty much thrown in play with the sharks right off the bat without to much... how to info

Best not to shoot the green ships peope tend to get a tad upset about that

At the end of the game you will see your score and other info.. Click on the other tabs , one will show you were everyone placed in team in game ,the Details tab shows every ship you hit .. If you highlight the ship it will show what type of shell you hit it with and what damage was done this helps in figuering when to use HE shells or AP shells .. You will also see damage done to you and if you highlight it it shows all the ships that hit you and what they fired and damage done to you... Hope this helps ... Have fun

1. I didn't realize it wasn't on by default. I just came back about a month ago and just instinctively knew to go fix it in the settings. Glad you got a good answer here.

2. Yep. Agree. Sometimes when you are playing you will get a pop-up that gives you a limed time offer for one of those not-in-the-store ships, and you'll even get 10-25% off. Problem is, you have to be quick with a credit card or already have the doubloons on you.

3. I am super surprised at your reaction to this, but pleasantly so.

4. Once again, glad you've been given a good answer here in the forums. There are some popular third-party sites which will track your stats, as I'm sure you can see from some of the signatures around here. Simple enough to search "warship stats" and see the top 5. I know you were asking IN game, and these are OUT of game, but more information can't hurt.

Welcome to Warships!

I don't bother asking the randos what their plan is. I expect if they knew how to type fast enough to relay what was going on in their head it would be something like "sail around in a circle until I hit an island and fail to even provide useful spotting information for the team" ... "go afk and get the 150 experience for sailing 10 feet out of the spawn point" ... you get the idea.

What I do now, is relay my two minute plan. Something quick, like "scouting A then burn to B if no support" or "holding the channel, no quarter". If there is someone else interested in teamwork on the team, they will usually make at least an F5 or neg and work with you. Met some good people that way.

Yeah. It is definitely excaberated by the fact CVs have mirror matchmaking. I am usually against skill based matchmaking because 12 v 12 a match is simply too many to build sbmm off of. But since CVs are essentially 1 v 1 (or 2 v 2) SBMM would actually be justifiable.

5.  Why don't they list damage in the team screen at the end of battle along with the other stats?

It is listed on the Personal Score and Detailed Report. I guess they think only your damage should matter to you. To give an example from last night: I was in a teir 7 DD, mostly capping and spotting for my team, getting around enemy smoke and staying undetected. I fired some shots when I could stay invisible, or at the red DDs, but didn't sink anyone and didn't seem like a lot of damage done by the end of the game (for teir 7 anyway). At the end of the game, I found myself NUMBER TWO on the Team Score page! :B

6. Sure those ships are nice, but every nation has it's strengths and weaknesses. After you get a couple hundred battles in each ship it will be trivial to move up in the regular line.
