I still don't understand why so many people are so afraid of going in and getting their hands dirty / paint scratched. They miss out on moments like this~

 

 

Yeah I died, but I nabbed a high caliber, devastating strike, double strike and flesh wound after facing my death, gunning down a low health Fubuki and planting 4 fish into a 46k hp Gneisenau.

 

More, far more important than that though, I had a lot of fun, more than I would've had sitting in the back and sniping.

Yeah, the other day I had a battle where I thought I'd go down fighting against 2 enemy BBs and a CA on my 15k HP Gneisenau, turns out I sank the three of them before dying to a fire, sometimes cocky bold suicidal play pays off when you know you'll die anyway

Because it's not as simple as 'going in'. I witness plenty of people that try only to get no result for it due to bad execution/timing.

I love the ship, just can't win in it at all. I've played 11 games in it, average 52,480 damage in it, and have won ONCE.

 

I'll probably wind up parking it. Just can't win in it at all. Ever. And by not winning I don't make any credits and no xp either, so it was a complete and total waste of a friends money to buy it for me.

Sometimes you get a really bad string of futility. Keep trying. I was at 30% in Bismarck after 20 games, and am back up to 50% now.

My Iowa won 1 of its first 20 games.  Then she won about 10 in a row.

 

Things change.  As long as you're doing your part, why does the end result matter?  It just means others didn't to theirs; there's no bearing on you.  Except if you're divisioning and your div mates sucked.

I have a "When in doubt..Push" philosophy...often sends me to the bottom of the sea, but its fun even when its not the right choice.

my last match in the Tirpitz, I sank pretty quickly cause i decided to go play with the Yamato... But atleast an Iowa came alongside me to play too, i gave them both some fish for lunch c:

I do this in the Derpitz all the time, every other BB regrets getting withing 6km of the Tirpitz (even me when I'm in the GK) my best YOLO  charge was going right between two Colorado's  and torping both. The cries of "PTW noob premium ship" in chat were glorious.

probably because most people aren't running around in a premium credit printer like the tirpitz, most people are running around in regular ships that can actually lose money if they f*ck up, plus not everybody will get these results when knife-fighting like that (most players are average at best), so their mentality: why knife-fight/ be aggressive and risk my credits by taking damage/ getting sunk when i can lower that risk by staying away from the fighting to minimize damage taken? that mentality is why we have a sniper meta where those that don't want to lose money will choose to stay away from the fighting and try their hand at long-range bombardment

So what you're saying is that those people are shallow enough to consider their credit earnings more important than the game itself. Their loss. Me, I'm here not for fake internet pixel credits, but for blowing the everliving crap out of other people.

If this is the case, than the problem is you and not the ship. No bloody way in hell that should be able to happen. Not to mention the Tirp easily can pull in 400k in credits a match. If you're going negative in a Tirp then you should probably think deeply about how you're playing and what you're doing wrong.
