1. most of the maps have lack of imagination..dull,islands are to small to be useful,,most of the time I fell my T10 super bismark is playing a tier 3 field .                   

2,the citys on the islands are not to scale..my Atlanta is bigger than the intire city,,lol

 

3.most maps I can see the developers delibratly dezyned them to get u shot up ,the islands are made in such a way,they are to small to be useful for a battleship and angled in a way there is no where you can hide behind it and not get shot up from the other flank if lite up by aircraft,,(aircraft can see thru mountains and my AA shoot thru maountains<<LOL)  surprise and ambush is a great dynamic but you take that out of the game by the crapy dezyne of you islands,,might as well make them all water world.we want big islands,,volcanoes,,spectacular waterfalls,,islands big enough with enclaves a battesl ship can lay an ambush,,come on,,use some imagination.

This isnt WOT as most BBS are not designed to hide behind an island and poke out and shoot, the islands are for DDs and cruisers to make use of primarily.

the biggest issue i have with the maps is the one with the giant waterfall in the middle (cant think of the name...). its spewing out water, but there is no source...just bothers me...

 

as for your points OP, BBs arent meant to be stealthy, and islands can absolutely give cover if youre in trouble. the cities are pretty well to scale i think, i live in buffalo NY and the USS Littlerock (Cleveland class CL originally) is pretty big compared to the arena and other stuff on the waterfront. most of the cities are little fishing villages made of shacks, they should look small to a 500-800+ ft long ship. maybe the games weird distance scaling is messing with you.

ahh...forgot about volcanoes, but even then wouldnt the tubes need to be supplied from a source behind/underneath them? the water is just coming out of the peak of a mountain with nothing else behind it. 

 

doesnt really bother me that much, just a weird observation....

Players wanted the maps to be smaller so that they could engage the enemy sooner.  The easiest way to accomplish this was by changing the scale of all of the objects on the maps except the ships.  I'm sure they will get around to rescaling the buildings on the older maps eventually.
