They seems to be rotating the permanent ships which is nice, but things like the Indianapolis and Scharnhorst haven't made their way back yet.  I'd try to pick it up if you can by Friday

As for Scharnhorst ,she was just sold like, a month and a half ago. Give them time.

Don't get it unless you really like the hipper, and the history of the ship. If you want a great tier 8 cruiser get the Atago or Kutu.

im a huge fan of hipper. i use her more than just about any other ships, plus im almost ready to get roon so it would be nice to be able to sell hipper but have the eugen instead, plus im a huge bismarck fan so it will be nice to have both once i grind my way to bimarck. hopefully it will stay out until next friday so i can go ahead and buy her...... hopefully

If you want to by the Prince Eugen for nostalgic reason, then that is fine. If, however, you want to buy it to play on a regular basis, please save your money. It is worst that the Hipper; it's too fragile, and less fun to play. Just read the reviews from everyone, and you will get the consensus regarding the quality of the ship. In my book, the old motto of Caveat Emptor is alive and well in this ship.

It could just be some sort of confirmation bias, but the Eugen seems to take citadel hits a bit more often than the Hipper, so the extra HPs are kind of moot unless you're soaking up fire damage or fighting DDs.

Sunk a Prince Eugen the other day with my ARP Ashigara and Eugen had pretty much full HP when I started shelling it with HE and AP. I think the owner was a newbie though.

I killed a Yamato in the Prinz Eugen, or at least we killed each other. I closed the distance while dodging his shots sucessfully, firing at him as I could, fired torpeodes from both sides before he put me down only to die shortly after. Put yourself in the right situation or get lucky and you can be incredibly lethal. Is it the best ship in tier 8? Probably not but I didn't buy it for that, I bought it because of the history of the ship. I actually enjoy playing it tho! I've found it's guns to be great, its a beautiful ship, I don't get to use torps much but I do enjoy the guns and I am working my way towards the Hipper because of this ship.
