It's a mixed bag.. some folks there just to find out the next thing that gives them an "edge"  (and most likely they need as yes, they are the definition of potato), Some veteran players who been in since the original closed beta, to players looking to score freebies  (and moan and groan about how difficult it is facing a limited pool of players of which half of them are highly skilled), to folks like me.. slightly above average (slightly) players with a good working knowledge of the game and capable of moments of amazingly  brilliant play followed by moments of "Doh!"

 

It ah... Interesting to say the least..  I do get tired of the whiners though.

 

I am how ever having a great time running about in a Yamato at the moment..while getting some warm up done with tier 8 ships in ranked play.  I'm finding that the russsian tier 8 cruiser set up to be uber stealthy with boosts to secondaries and AA is a bit of a monster of a ship...and surface detection

 I've got down to just over 10k, 15k and change after firing main guns, and I have those reaching out to 17k or so.  Some of them folks are having a real issue with that as i act like a Cleveland witha serious case of 'roid rage going on.

 

She's hell on DD's and other cruisers in Ranked play..of course one the BB's focus on ya.. life gets exciting and short real fast.. she's a big target.

about half are skilled players testing features to make sure their ships will still be OP when the patch comes. The other half are noobs taking t10's out for a test drive.

My guess is that since it inly takes 3 games to unlock the next tier, people are strolling in high tiers without having the experience. Any tier 4 player can drive a tier 10 in PT.
