Cap the Map

 

Capping all the points on a Domination map, solo or assisted.

 

I think an achievement for capping has a place in the game.

 

Good idea or poor? Suggestions on alternatives?

This is not an easy achievement.  Most of the time, I only manage to pull off 2 caps.  The third cap is almost always heavily defended.

Anyway, I think this isn't a bad idea, but I prefer that "cap points you 75% and above captured gained 350 points for your team".

From memory I can only think of doing it about twice, pulled it off tonight in a loss on Two Brothers Domination w/ four caps. So much EXP...

On high tier matches it would be pretty difficult with the massive map sizes, Two Brothers and Hot Spot are do-able. But yeah, likely wouldn't happen often.

at least it's achievable in every ship, unlike the stupid clear skies, which is stupidly broken. Or the solo warrior, which is stupidly hard and bugs out.

I have done this one time in Coop and did it with my carrier of all things (Langley). Just me and enemy Langley left, on map where half yer fleet is in the south and half in the north (I forget the name). I had capped the southern cap because the only survivors were battling it out up north and they ended up sinking one another leaving just the two CVs. It never tried to cap, I only had bombers left so I just kept moving north thru all caps while trying to bomb him to death. Managed to get all three and we won on points, just couldn't get the damage on him to sink him.

Yes, because I did it this past weekend. 

 

 

They do award achievements if you're done them before they were achievements right???

I actually pulled this off once on a 4 cap domination game in my fubuki, (4 solo caps and 1 cap assist(we lost the1st I capped fast))

Love this. And I play a lot of USN DDs and prioritize capping, so I do this on occasion.
