I play for fun and really don't enjoy having to explain why I am out of location after dodging torpedoes and enemy fire without support. Usually I will just ignore the banter because it sucks the life out of the party. Plan? 1. Work together 2. Don't go solo 3. Stick to the plan 4. Provide covering fire 5. All of the above 6. Be fluid and adapt, to the unfolding battle. But there should be some kind of plan to begin with. don't be afraid to withdraw in the face of overwhelming odds. Like you above all else have FUN!!
