New Patch - Persistent ship grinding sounds

After updating to the new patch, every game I play has the sounds of ships grinding.... for the WHOLE GAME. I tried resetting some of my audio settings, but without success. I was going to send in a replay, but it didn't capture the anomaly. My next step is to reinstall and see if that does the trick.

 

Anyone else experiencing this?

 

It sounded a bit spooky. A bit like this if anyone remembers...

Today's update updated some soundbanks and you'll need to copy over the res/banks folder to res_mods if you do.

Not a dumb question at all! But, no... it didn't do anything. Maybe third time is the charm, eh? Will have to wait till I get home to see if it decides to behave itself.

Guess we wait and see if yours behaves or we get reports from others regarding the issue now.

I have no other ideas on what it could be.
