I've loved battleships for as long as I can remember (used to make plastic models, like the little nerd I was and still am), and I absolutely love the game. Quick question, though, and probably not the right/best place to ask, but I'm itching to get a premium BB, and I was wondering if this might be, as any other, a good time to buy the Warspite. I've spent a good amount of time doing research on it, know its pros and cons, but the only thing really stopping me is whether it'd be a good use of $30.. With the RN cruisers coming soon, it's only a matter of time before the HMS BB line comes out, and I've read elsewhere on the forums that there might be other premium English BBs coming out? On top of that, with Black Friday coming around in 2 months, should I just wait and see what sort of new additions are made to the game? The only premium BB I have is the Konig Albert (and I love it), but here are some things that might help you decide. 1) with the RN cruiser line coming out and RN captain trainer is a good thing, even better if they end up releasing a BB line. 2) i'm sure they will release other RN premiums, but the Belfast will be first. Any other RN BB's will be awhile. So if you want a premium RN BB..then this might be it for awhile. 3) ranked battles season 5 is starting soon, and tier 6 ships are required for the first bit, the Warspite seems like a contender for ranked battles Welcome to the forum, I'm new too. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Of all the battleships; Warspite is the one that requires patience and planning in advance like none of the others. The turrets are so slow, the crew hits the switch and then brew tea while they wait for them to turn. Because of that you have to be someone who plans where they are going, and where they will point their turrets before you get there. You must watch the mini-map like a hawk for future threats, and start turning the ship or its guns in anticipation of those threats, lest the brewing of tea be interrupted by rude persons out to spoil that tea. Warspite's secondary guns can give you good service, I recommend at least Basic Firing Training, as well as Advanced Firing Training, unless you want demolition Expert instead. Warspite can brawl if angled properly, has good healing powers, and can punch hard at most ranges, but it STILL takes a lot of games to get used to. If you have had a positive experience using other slow battleships, (pretty much all the US BBs T3-6,) and can exercise the good judgement and patience needed to make Warspite work, she will be a blast to play.
