I have seen bots get the birthday achievements while playing coop which makes me wonder if they may be contributing to the count. I found it funny when I saw a bot kill a player and get rise of the machines, I guess it is not specific to killing bots but playing coop.

Currently 21K+ have received Run! Admiral! Run! and 19K+ have received Life and Soul of the Party, but only 10,298 have King of the Party...I'm just surprised, that's all

Really wish people handed out compliments more. I've been making a point to throw some around to help with achievements, but I admit I usually don't think to do it under normal conditions.
