For most players they visit the portal at about the same rate as they visit the forum, they don't. It is irritating as hell though and maybe they should auto change the port to Yolosuka along with a message that this is the only place they will find them.

It's not that you asked for help, it's that WarGaming go out of their way to notify people on the portal, and have been doing so now for about a year, and every time there is a new ARP ship, there are 3-5 posts a day asking "How do I get my ARP ships?" Well... I mean really. Read the news portal. It's quite visible.

 

 

They put it on the portal, in a highlighted box, in bright pink script to draw attention... and remember they have to do this unobtrusively or else the 50% of the fanbase who don't like ARP content and aren't content to be able to 100% disable it would get very vocal about how if WG advertised that ARP stuff more they would be promoting degenerate, [edited]anime fans. I'm not even kidding. A disturbing number of people think that, and they are not content to have the ARP stuff 100% disabled. They want no one to be able to enjoy it because these people have a warped world view. So yeah, WarGaming are trying to be obvious, while still being unobtrusive about it. At any rate, it's written right in the portal in huge pink letters. Really, if you miss it... after 3 ARP events... it's on you.

Like I said above, most don't visit the portal, heck I only irregularly visit it myself. The OP has only been around for a few months so this is probably his first ARP mission, this is really on the devs, they should have made it clear in the game where the ships are found.

My question would be, why would you want the Hiei?  It's a luminescent pink Kongo called Hiei.  I mean, how many goofy looking, child voice over Kongos do we need?  I used the Haruna a few times, but why spend the coin/whatever applying upgrades to the same ship multiple times?  The thing draws more fire because of it's appearance and most of us probably have a Kongo fully upgraded and better skippered anyway.  Yeah I know, don't use the port and you won't have to see them.  I don't.

Really? This kinda 'ish again? Cool ... you're not into anime - no one is twisting your arm to - but don't pull a typical SJW-move speaking out negatively to it ... 

 

That aside, I'll draw you a possible use for having a port full of kongo's - clan wars or tournaments with ship-locks. Imagine a tier 5 event or tier-restricted CW type situation with ship locking - now you have several decent Kongo-class ships to use in case your main one gets locked (that is if they don't allow ARP ships into such an event).

I'll grant you part 2 of this, but part 1 about never coming to the portal. If you run the game, the launcher opens. On the launcher is the news, usually with a nice big flambouyant image of whatever the top news story on the portal is.

 

Call me a jerk if you want, but I'm very much a supporter of the idea that if people lack information, maybe they ought to pay attention to the information sources at hand. The launcher is a mandatory look at the portal news.
