Has anyone noticed how often at the start of a match that as little as three, two, or even one ship (CVs excluded) will spawn way out by itself with no support at all? I think the spawns should be more even instead of most of the team being clustered in one spot and then some poor ships out in the middle of nowhere.

Sure have and more than a few times been that ship... interested to hear a logical explanation.

It is an intermittent bug that goes back to CB/AT but being intermittent they never know if they actually have it nailed down.

Yeah it's certainly annoying. Its probably one of my bigger gripes at the moment because I have literally been killed by a spawn before. Especially on the smaller maps where you practically start detected.

At least you aren't spawning in the enemy's start location.  *That* was a fun bug. :P

Here's an attempt at an explanation. The way I understand spawns, there are a certain number of "slots" for each ship type and each slot has a specified position on the map. At the beginning of battle, the ships are randomly assigned to these slots, resulting in some ships being alone sometimes.
