Armor viewer all in shades of black - suggestions?

I put a post into the 5.11 bug toaster but thought I'd ask here as well. 

 

I'm running a tatertot laptop which does reasonably well with the game. It has an Intel HD3000 graphics chip. When I click on the armor viewer, everything shown is in shades of black/verydarkgray/grey. Anyone else experiencing this? 

 

If you did and fixed it, what did you do? TIA

I was in the New York port and found the background two bright to view armor view very well. I switched back to St. Petersburg, a night scene, where I could view the armor view just fine. In my opinion, port background should be darker so these details can be viewed in each one.

In your case, try adjusting gamma. 

 

In my case there simply is no color. I went through all the graphic options, turning everything on to be sure and nothing helped. I even jacked gamma all the way up - nothing.

 

I don't believe they tested it on their low end machines.

it may be a texture issue for you :/

Could be texture... I'm thinking I must be the only low end player remaining on NA these days - as I havent seen another post about it !

Wait what port you on? Because Yokosuka has a different shader

Actually.. though there may be no shades of black, I wouldn't call something closer to black grey/gray, would you? The differences are how opaque the color appears, not in its actual 'color'. 

 

Tried a couple different ports. Tried game integrity check. Tried switching about the graphic options, to ensure they are all on. "Deleted" preferences by renaming it to oldpreferences. Oh... also went through all the color blind options too, thinking maybe it would at least show the various sections. Nope. Nothing worked.

 

I have an Intel HD3000 graphics chip. Support from Intel stopped on Windows 7/8/8.1. If WG is using something to produce the armor viewer that is not compatible with Windows 7 then I am borked. Otherwise it is somehow usable. Later today/tonight I can uninstall/reinstall the game... although I doubt very much that will achieve anything other than needlessly destroying billions of electrons by turning them into heat.

are you aware of the "color blind" selections also. It may be that you have inadvertently turned one of those on. They are at the bottom of the graphics and not in the "main body"' So you might check that out.

Thanks and yes, aware of it. Nope, not on. I tried them hoping it might even make it more view-able but no, no dice. I'm surprised nobody else is experiencing this. 

 

I did a complete wipe and fresh install just to be sure and still does not work. At all.
