Worst voice of all the ARP ships, if the girl whose voice this was say, at a picnic near water, the birds are singing, the bee's are humming, I would seriously  think of just tipping her in...

She's meant to be that way. If you go watch the Arpeggio Blue Steel Cadenza movie, she's even much more energetic than that.

OP, i also like playing the ARP ships since theyre free and have their own port slots, but am not at all into the cartoon. the voices are especially grating, and along with the paint really kill immersion for me...

 

you can rid yourself of this nuisance however. go into the game directory, then res then audio. rename the "english" folder to something else. if that doesnt work, try renaming one of the other files (something may have changed i dunno). 

 

if youre like me then you might be annoyed by the technicolor paint as well, there is a mod in aslains called "no manga" which makes the ships look like regular IJN ships and changes the commander portraits to IJN (this might have to be updated for the new ships). there is even a port mod that alters the ARP one to be non-anime.

WORD! I mean they redid Kongou's voice to be accurate, why not Karishima?
