So I finally re-bought the Clemson. I missed you, my beloved clubber of seals. Daddy's home. 

 

 

I would like to apologize to the populations of tiers 3-5 for what will happen when I get her captain retrained and respecced (I don't have a spare USN DD captain right now, so I'm using my 13-pt New Mexico captain since I sold her, which means no last stand and still need to grind up to CE)

No one else would cap? Other DDs either die fast or, in one case, flat out say "I'm going to go kill the CV, caps don't matter"? NO PROBLEM! I'll cap all three points, damage nine ships, get a Kraken and, oh yeah, I ended up killing the CV while the DD that went CV hunting got chased by a cruiser all game. Until I killed the cruiser chasing him. 

 

I know I needed the port slot at the time, but why did I ever sell this ship?

I should probably take out my Iwaki Alpha soon, being effectively an upgraded Tenyruu, she would be quite fun to play in with a division at tier 4, enjoy your Clemson, she is a solid low tier Destroyer.

Waka seems to be better than Iso, but Iso beats it hands down.  

As for Clemson vs Isokaze, whats the opinion?  I like Iso's stealth torping of everything under the sun.  Including other DDs.

I personally liked Nicholas better, because of the 127's and the 4 torp launchers, but Clemsons are a PAIN to run down.

Clemson was great before MM changes, and now it is even better at clubbing due to rarely getting up-tiered.

Because the vast majority of clemson players aren't fellow seal clubbers, you twit. What did you think was going to happen when you, an above average high tier player, dropped into lower tiers? I do the same thing to Izyaslavs with my Clemson...because I'm playing against seals.

I like both ships, but Clemson is much more flexible. And Isokaze has a hard time defending itself from cruisers and other destroyers.

Lol any USN gunboats at low tier can be easily used as fine seal clubbing tool, as experienced personally from messing around past few days.

I was a bit upset at the start when our north group of only 4 ships, Wyoming, Myogi, my Clemson, and a German Cruiser, were starting and the Myogi immediately starts running away south.  Anyways, replay here if you're curious.

I want to say that the performance wasn't a one man show.  The remaining Wyoming up north stayed with my DD even after we spotted A LOT of red ships and I said to turn back (but I still intended to continued the attack... I was angry).  Help eventually arrived.  A key point was my Clemson in knife fighting range with an Omaha and German CL.  Normally 1 DD vs 2 CLs is a Dead DD but the BBs further back put the CLs in tremendous stress and gave me a lot of freedom to work almost unmolested, even detected.

 

Give any DD support, you give them a chance to pull off crazy stuff.

Well...... you are (judging by your stats) much more skilled than the average player. For example, i have yet to lose a duel in my Clemson against an Izyaslav, but that's only because i am generally better than the majority of players at T4. So yes, they suck, in comparison to you.
