Changes to IJN DDs????

Is anyone else upset with these changes???  I am fine with new ships, they should have created a branch off of the existing ships, but these changes to ships we have been grinding for suck.  I have been working hard for the Fubuki and now I have to re-grind for a ship that they are probably going to nerf the hell out of.  Nerfing these ships is just removing another hard counter to camping BBs in the game.  They already nerfed the hell out of carriers and now they are killing the torp boats.  Just call if World of Battleships.

You don't even know what changes they are going to make to the ships, nor do you know that you will have to regrind anything (based upon similar events in the past, that is most unlikely), but you are already pitching a fit.  Just relax and wait until you actually have real information.  Then, if they screw it up, you can actually make meaningful complaints that might even get some attention from WG.  Complaining with no information at all is just silly.

Poll says: No one really cares. Without any information to go on, there's no reason to be upset. I'm quite happy there'll be IJN DD changes/additions. Also a first step to branching tech trees.

A better question is how has this been done in the past? Some parallel that might give us an idea as to how the developers handle these changes? Even then it is speculative. There are guesses, educated guesses and there is fact - we are pretty much at the first.

No on both, but in truth, I would have chosen "Don't Care" for the second one if that choice had been available.

Here's my thoughts.

 

1. This is not a nerf.
2. I will never object to any action which steers this game towards historical fidelity.
3. Variety is the spice of life.  And this adds that.

 

I'll raise some issues that I DO have with the new lines in another thread.  Until it happens, though, I'm excited with anticipation and only hope I won't be let down when the details finally emerge.
