From whomever that posted that/made the video, good for them.

But I'm sorry, the tex-mods just look horrendous.

If you ever do reviews/tutorials please use vanilla client. I'm not trying to be negative, but it's not only more professional, you're also teaching the newcomers where to properly aim.

I was the one who made the video. Look my graphics settings are not great and I'm just trying to help.

I mean no disrespect. Graphics can be absolute low and I wouldn't care. It's the mods that kind of ruin it for me. Think of this as feedback. I do appreciate the fact you made an educational video.

No no its fine. But is it possible for me to run a separate client or can I just move the mods folder?

I found this tutorial quite useful. I will agree however that the mods that you have turned on were distracting. Again though, it helped me with realizing were cits are located. I used to aim higher because I usually see cits from a longer distance.

I'll watch it tomorrow all the way through. If you're going to maks tutorials you need to make them how most players see the game.

The ship wasn't that bad, but the tracers and all that were a big turn off.

I just like the ship Skins but for some odd reason, I really do not like the rust on the ship maybe its just me idk. As the for the tracers I do agree they are starting be more annoying than helpful.

I do plan to release another video diving deeper into where some higher tier citadels are located. I am going to disable the tracers because they are more annoying than helpful.

Best way to do it, if you want to have mods for your own use, but vanilla for videos: When recording for video, run the game in safe mode. this disables all mods, but they will still be there for you when you run it in normal mode.

If anything, maybe you can try freeze framing the salvos right before they hit, and then draw squares over the shells which likely citadeled.

If I were making this video, I wouldn't bring up detonations in this video.  While it's an interesting tidbit, it also adds some noise to the message you're trying to convey...I think.

While it's kind of obvious, the first time it shows up, I would also point out the icon which indicates that there was a citadel hit.  For those that haven't citadeled a ship yet.

Oh nice I didn't know that. Would it be ok if I used the ship skins in non-tutorial videos?

I wanted to cover all my bases just in case but I will go deeper into the subject in later videos.

Depends on what viewers you're trying to attract, many wows players are old vets, soldiers, or into the history of these ships, so they may not tolerate the cute anime skins.

I have a little series where I do challenges that the community votes on in training room. I'm just posting videos for fun while helping out when I can.

Don't see why not. All my own videos are simple gameplay captures, so they contain any mods I was using at the time. Some of my latest ones even run the same tracer mod you do. I think the main concern people have for tutorial videos is that new players may find it hard to follow if it doesn't look like the game they have been playing for the past x days/weeks.

That reminds me, I still need to take a crack at that Sharn/Yammy one, as well as the Atago one. They looked like fun :D.

I also have one to suggest for you: Atlanta (or Cleveland, maybe both for comparisons sake) Vs. 6-12 Hosho's.

Tutorial videos are not really my zone of comfort, and wanted to try something new.

A cleveland challenge is on my list of challenges to do this year. My next big one is Montana vs 6 Carriers.

You may not run two game instances at once. You can play with mods. You should have replays enabled, drag replay onto worldofwarships.exe while you remove the version folder in res_mods to get gameplay that isn't modded - vanilla client.
