I think it means that they're making it one tier only.  T6 is the starter bracket, T8 is the bracket past Rank 15 or whatever it will be with their ever-expanding list.

Perfect tier choices if so. I for one will happily have a few ships I want to sail. I only just joined the game late last season and by the time I got a T5/T6 it was the last couple days and I only played 2 ranked battles.

We saw the same ships in every other season too.  And the few times we didn't, we felt sorry for the team that didn't take the proper mix.

Must have been a above rank 10 kinda thing cause below that many winning teams had bottom tier ships on the roster.

Made in German won't do you much good in Ranked when torps are the weapons of choice...

Torpedoes will be the way to handle German Battleships for sure, but they won't be easy to get close to until the destroyer screens are thinned.  With luck, the reduced detection range will open up more opportunities to break through and harass.

The real question for me is how much time WG expects players to be able to invest in Ranked and will a player my skill level have the chance to Rank out in less than say +-350 battles. It will be the deciding factor in whether or not I try and continue Ranked past whatever rank receives the seasonal flag.

 

I would like to attempt to Rank out again but not at the cost of my job, family and sanity.

Tier 8 is more dynamic (more fun) and allows for carries. I had games in seasons 2 and 3 where my team came back from 3, 4, and 5 ship deficits, and I had games where I scored six kills. Season 4 made that impossible. Last time I saw you play you anchored an entire flank all by yourself while I helped clean up the other end. You're good enough to carry, and that alone will massively cut down the number of matches you'll need to play.

We will see, I know for a fact that I am not the only player that got very discouraged by last season. I think, personally 300-400 matches is my limit and even then im not sure i will have the desire to play that much of one single ship over and over again.

Try around 200 with your ability under the current rules. Just don't play brackets until they populate.
