The Dunker is a beast. That thing shoots better lasers than the Warspite. 48% accuracy in it so far lol.

To be honest, I find the Dunkerque waayyyy better in my gameplay style than the Warspite (WS) imo. Its just so much better and suprisingly enough, its more of a $ maker than the WS is. :B

Broadsides in the Dunkerque aren't necessary:hiding:

Can anyone confirm that she got any buffs?

Her dispersion seems better than what I saw in the reviews, but that may just be my luck.

I didn't play it in testing, but in my small sample size it has proven to be better than anything in terms of accuracy. It doesn't citadel well, but it does pen. Bow armor is good and I have only had a primary knocked out temporarily once. My death has come to a CV both times. I have sank a Texas, Gneisenau, and almost had a Scharn but it was secured by someone else >.>

The accuracy is what I notice the most. It says it has 200+m dispersion but it shoots from the bow better than any ship I have played. It has a fighter at T6 as its special consumable and it heals as much as the Arizona if not more. I almost respec'd from Vigilance to SI because it turns better than everything but the WS. 29.5 knot top speed is also really welcome at that tier.

Here is where she sits atm, of course it is bound to go down when less experienced players get her.

I've had my fill of ships with 2 turrets after being burned with Yubari. No thanks.

Has she gotten buffed? In the game I just played in, the top scorers on both teams were Dunkerques.

I wish I had tested it. As a BB main I can say it's probably the best T6 but has a very different style than Arizona. Arizona can tank much better, but Dunk can heal and out maneuver every BB. Secondaries rip and sit at 130mm taking advantage of BFT and AFT. When angled you get 8 main shells and 10 secondaries going off.

Since you partially aim with the ship, turret rotation is practically not a factor. AP damage is massive, fire chance is 35%, and like I said I only had Turret 2 knocked out one time in the brawls I have been in so far.

The price is right.

But I would prefer to win it in a contest or giveaway.

While it is cheap, I still don't know if I would get it even if I could afford her.  (I never tested it, so this is impartial for the record)  It seems to me like it would be an extremely situational battleship with a lack of flexibility.

She is rumored to murder cruisers and destroyers, be able to outrun enemy battleships, and carriers are easy pickings for everyone, I'd call that flexible enough for me.

Why so much salt for the Dunkin Donut?  Did a bad Frenchman a-salt you with a french fry (err, pomme fritte) or something?

Humor (or lack thereof) aside, why do people rant so hard against ships that don't fit their expectation of the 'perfect' ship?  Sure, Dunkerque (or Scharnhorst, or Krasny Krim, or ... ) requires a bit different tactic.  If it ain't for you, don't buy it.  Why the need to try and convince everyone else that it is 'garbage' when obviously there are some people getting good results from these ships?  Yes, even Krispy Kreme has folks that say she is good, which only goes to show it's more the captain than the ship, but ymmv.

Too bad her secondaries don't fire forwards as I love secondary oriented boats :/

I'll have to pass on her myself, even if she got buffed. I already have two tier 6 premium battleships and I'm not sure her speed can make up for her weak citadel armor. Plus she can't bounce 15 and 16 inch shells with her bow, so she's not that strong in tier 7-8 matches. I actually prefer ships with weaker guns and better armor like the German battleships. More forgiving of mistakes. But that's me ... others may enjoy the Dunkerque more. Especially if she got buffed ... because her reviews before release made her seem like a truly mediocre ship.

Problem is that when you run, you have no rear turrets to help you out.

Also, there's no hiding with that 16.4km concealment.

Is she like Izumo where those front turrets can actually fire behind really well with barely angling the ship's retreat? Running like that is actually the only heavily angled posture that lets Izumo use all three turrets. Too bad her stern is so weak.
