I never used a single one. In WoT you only get charged for what you use. So basically if I had this set to gold, I get charged real money for something I never used. Also why repairs? I never got hit once. In fact I never even got spotted until the very end. I understand ammo costs. But repairs? This game is a huge money sink already, why the need for more? Basically I got rip off for 54000 credits.

Right now, I think repair and service costs need a slight reduction, but other than that I thin we're ok.

Even if you don't use them in the match, you pay for them to be on your ship and the 'reassurance' that you have faster repair, smoke, health etc.. That argument doesn't make much sense since logically that same consumable left unused would be there still on the ship for the next battle. That's how it is in WoT. They just decided to change it here for some reason.

To my knowledge WoT doesn't have that feature, which is probably why the devs haven't done as you suggested with doubloon prices.

Lock out the good content behind the pay wall and people will buy premium. If you're me, and were going to do that anyway, it's just philosophically really irritating. If you're my buddy John, when the discounts for high tier repairs went away, you stopped playing anything above tier 7.

4 [-KWF-] UnchartedHammeR [-KWF-] Members 63 posts 4,084 battles Report post #21 Posted August 21, 2016 I agree with the OP. premuim consumables not used should not be charged when not used. If WG can give us them in bundles and from events and missions. Why can't they not be charged for non I use. It would also be nice to be able to switch back to the free version without destroying them. Since they clearly have a way to have multiples on hand.
1,425 [0456] _ENO_ Members 3,945 posts 10,545 battles Report post #22 Posted August 21, 2016 I don't know about WOT but in Blitz they had consumables like cola, chocolate and extra rations or something like that and you burned through it every mission no matter what. I suspect this is the same and while you may not activate the crews they are on standby on your ship and therefore "consumed." At least you don't get charged for every time they're activated. 91 ADM_Zakk_Zero Members 811 posts 4,250 battles Report post #23 Posted August 21, 2016 (edited) I can't find it at the moment, but I started a thread once after discovering I was always charged a repair fee even when I survived a battle with 100% of my HP remaining. If not already brought up, there is always a at least a standard fee for repairs the moment you return to port. IIRC, the first time I noticed it was when I returned to port in a tier 10 Gearing and was charged 22,500 in silver for repairs, despite returning with all of my hit points. IMHO it's not right, it's not fair, and it's not completely logical, but it is the way it is. It being this way generates more real world revenue for WG, so unless someone there says "Hey, we're earning too much money", it will never change unless it causes a large enough uproar from the player base. I think my previous post on this thread was about the consumables, but I apologize if I have repeated some stuff I already said. *side note: just now realized my previous comments I was referring to were in a completely separate but similar/related thread: http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/91546-auto-resupply/page__p__2236142#entry2236142 **even further side note: found the thread I mentioned at the top of my post. I include this not to beat a dead horse and vent further, but only to provide more info & insight to help others and prevent the creation of more/redundant threads on the same issue: http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/85673-mystery-repair-costs/page__fromsearch__1 That thread is the journey of one lowly player as he transitioned from an innocent ignorant noob to a wiser, resigned, crotchety old veteran. Already used by someone on another thread: "You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." ―Morpheus Edited August 21, 2016 by ADM_Zakk_Zero
