To help out i like the play of some Cruisers and some BB's and know that both of the Germ. BB's have different play styles. I like to be more of the tier 6-8 player. Not sure if the Tirp. gets more of the higher battles which I am not afraid of since they are supposed to make cred's but just like the upper mid tiers for battles. So which would you get??? Guest Guest 0 posts Report post #3 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) The Tirptiz would be a good ship to buy, she is a solid tier 8 Cruiser that can make considerable credits due to being a premium, alongside being easier to do well in, when compared to the Scharnhorst, which while can perform very well in the hands of the right person, is more difficult to do well in. I do not buy premiums of a particular tier until I master that tier through grinding and i am unwilling to spend the Sheckles on it anyway. Tirpits is better for credit generation and is a more all-round, solid, dependable performer. Scharnhorst is more fun. But Tirpitz has to deal with "High Tier Sh!t." Another issue, IMO, is while Tirpitz is unquestionably a superior Knife Fighting BB at high tiers, she fights at a part of the game where the meta completely goes against "Brawling" and all that. Tirpitz advancing for the Brawl at the wrong time eats it hard. Scharnhorst is very good for Tier VII. You don't have to break your back to get a good, profitable game. Even if it does go bad, as a Tier VII, you're not heavily punished in Credits like Tier VIII+ ships are. Consider that Scharnhorst gets to face the likes of Tier V ships with their subpar protection. The Tirp makes more money. Of course she's a higher tier. They're both fairly easy to play. Scharnhorst does play more like a cruiser as others have pointed out.
