I just picked an older idea i read on this forum (dont even remember the OP) but since the new german bbs are here with their brawling plastyle and i wanted to throw this suggestion for a new consumable.

This doesn't make any logical sense from a reality standpoint... however, since secondaries are nerfed in order to inhibit bot farming... a consumable might be a good way to boost them to allow specialized builds, leading to more game variety.

Can someone explain to me why IJN BBs magically have more effective secondaries, what is the reasoning behind this. How did WG come up with it..

While I don't think that kind of consumables would be needed, I gave a thumb up because the numbers are very well thought of.

 

Judging by those numbers I have strong reason to suspect that you are either a programmer or good at mathematics/physics and are also a nerd.

They don't really.  The Germans are arguably the kings of secondary armament now.

 

As for the comparison of IJN to American BB secondaries, I'd guess WG figured it was logical at the lower tiers (the modernized WW1 IJN BB's like Kongo and Fuso had a lot more secondary guns than the USN dreadnoughts like New York and New Mexico) and at higher tiers it would be balanced out by the USN BB's having much better anti-aircraft guns.  Remember that back when the game launched the difference in AA between the USN and IJN BB's was bigger than it is now and CV's were a lot more powerful and numerous.  In the last few patches, though, they've added more AA guns to the IJN BB's and they did buff the secondaries on the tier 8-10 USN BB's.  Montana's secondary battery is actually somewhat good now.  The base range is only 1 km shorter than Yamato's and the guns have significantly better shell velocity, faster reload time and better fire-starting chance than Yamato's secondaries.

No more consumables, plz. Each consumable they add increases the gap between free and "premium" players.

 

I'm a free player and I run all kinds of upgraded consumables. Just switch it to the coin version.

Awful idea. BBs don't need better secondaries, especially at high tiers.

hahahahaha.... that's all Bismarck needs is another skill to buff her secondaries. Also, as vakhnenko stated, BB secondaries at high tier are already quite a deterrence to anything but a suicide run. Exactly what problem are you trying to solve with this proposed skill?

Another I want easy mode with a weapon I have no direct control over, that requires zero skill to use? :amazed:

2ndaries at higher tiers already are absurdly powerful....Who thought that was a good idea in the first place?

For BBs of tier 8 and above, Germans in the same slot as Hydro, and IJN and USN in a separate one... also could be for premiums of any tier... and also t6-7 could have a much weaker version (Nagato and Warspite especially)... there's no troll face this time

I'm pretty sure the vast majority of players would rathe have direct control of their secondaries.

I like this, but maybe IJN and KM get it, and american BBs get Defensive fire AA, becasue American secondaries are crap anyway.

 

EDIT: I don't think the range boost is needed. Accuracy and ROF seems adequate.
