Just got this ship fully upgraded and not gonna lie, I'm still figuring out how to play her and I'm not doing too well. Any advice for modifications? Also captain skills, I also aim to have the Montana one day, maybe like 10 years in the future. Thanks in advance!

T1 BOS

T2 EM

T3 VE or SI

T4 DE or AFT

T5 CE

I'd go for concealed fire build with extra repair so,

T3 Vigilance

T4 Demolition Expert

T5 Concealment Expert

Gl on Montana.

I went full AA on mine, which is a pretty common route to go with the US battleships. I've noticed a significant uptick in carriers lately, so making them basically irrelevant to you is always nice. Taking concealment as a level five skill is also a good choice.

As for how to play the ship, basically point your bow at the biggest threat and try not to show your side to anything that can citadel you.

I have a lot of battles in this ship and this is what i've found works for my play style.

Mine is setup:

Tier 1:BFT

Tier 2: EM

Tier 3: SUPT

Tier 4: AFT

Tier 5: Concealment

Modules:

MA1

AA Mod (or APR)

DCSM1

Propulsion (i've done rudder shift in the past, but the propulsion is nice for the back up battleship meta)

Does nobody ever forgo the level 5 skills for BFT and vigilance instead?

Granted, my NC captain isn't up to 15 points yet(at 13, but even if I do decide to take a lvl 5 skill once I hit 15, I'll probably take MFCFS, or I'll just take MFCAA and still not use a lvl 5 skill), so my build is as follows:

BFT, BoS

EM

SI

AFT

It's certainly an option, but between that, 11.8km concealment and MFCAA... I would rather take one of the latter two.

And for AA build, I would rather do that on Iowa.

I built my NC as... BoS, EM, VG, AFT, CE, guns break less, longer range AA, less flammable, faster rudder, and I haz cruiser concealment nao.

11.8km concealment on NC is what allows it to sneak around the map.
