A Word of Praise

Hi Everyone::great:

I've been playing WoWs for 3-4  months now and really enjoy the game.  But what really makes the game enjoyable for me is to see and experience team players that are not always just out to see how many points they can get, but to play strategically for a team win.  I play mainly Battleships (BB) but have dabbled in the rest as well.  Besides BB I do regularly run a couple of Aircraft Carriers (CV).  Even though I like the BBs the best, the CVs allow me to really do "team" play by taking out the opponents aircraft to protect my teammates and thus allow them to do what they do to win.  Currently my aircraft kill is at 1,825 planes shot down. Not a lot of points, but saved a lot of damage to my team. I can drop a bomb or two to slow down some ships, but the real strength is in the fighters.

So, back to the Praise.  I wanted to give a shout out for those unselfish players who understand the strategy to protect the CV so it can do "its" job in protecting them. I get frustrated when I see all the other ships forget about the CV and it gets knocked out before serving its useful purpose. Once that's done, it doesn't matter what happens  to the CV, it will have spent all its munitions.(or maybe just staying alive to run out the clock in some cases)  Recently I noticed some who actually "get It", who understand that it may not be glamorous or rack up a bunch of points, but it is true team play.

So a big shout out thanks to a couple of guys in particular (in separate battles) who I saw be totally unselfish by protected me while I did my job to help secure a team win. They are "Superjackson" - Captain of a Tenryu; AND "Black_Jim" - Captain of an Omaha. While engaging in battles of their own, they stayed back to protect me so I could continue to launch my planes and repel enemy aircraft.  The results in both cases were an astounding team win. The victory was all that more enjoyable because it was a true team effort and that's what I love about WoWs.

So for newbies, get in the spirit.  For old-timers, you should know already.

PS:  I always give a "Plays Well" compliment when I see it in action.  :honoring:  Game on....

It's nice to see people trying to encourage teamplay and rewarding others for doing the same. We don't get enough of it in game and it's something I feel is very important. Good on you! A positive attitude and willingness to work with others and praise them for doing the same will get you far.

I see, so my 5 aircraft kill 138K damage game in my Langley was just me hallucinating? Try fire then flood, and learn to auto drop so you can get 5 torpedos on a Wyoming/Myogi with ease, and you'll get more XP.

P.S.: I only got 5 plane kills because that's how many it took to kill the enemy CV with floods.
