MRW I heard there was a DVD of a stage performance of possibly my favorite prog metal album ever ...

When I saw the trailer

Said trailer:

The original album is a 1h50m progressive metal concept album from 2004, about a man who crashes his car and ends up in a coma. Every song is a day in the coma, and (most of) the vocalists play his emotions. The album is about the coma patient trying to make sense of his conflicting emotions, trying to make sense of what happened, trying to make sense of his life.

It's pretentious, it's cheesy, It's some of the best progressive metal / rock ever written, it's glorious.

And now there's a stage production of it!

I don't think a Disney movie represents metal very well

Maybe. Maybe not. It represents my reaction to it though.

What is a DVD?

There's also a blu-ray. Me? I'm old enough to remember the predecessor to the predecessor to the predecessor of the DVD.

You look very cute with them apples, Lert.

We had a Betamax.  We had reel to reels in the 70's.  8 tracks!

Best medium until the video player decides to eat your tape.

God... I remember using VHS in the really old TV when I was little... Then DVDs happened.

Now?

DVDs are uncommon. Why buy something I can stream, after all?

I still have collector's edition VHS tapes for star wars iv-vi and I can't play them anymore because my tape player broke. Bittorrent best medium tho.

Hmm. I'll let you off on this one.

Truly, the opportunity to use such a gif is quite rare.:teethhappy:
