1,006 [JWB] CrazyHorse_Denver Members 1,899 posts 21,175 battles Report post #1 Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Don't hate us just because we can spot a good deal Besides the ships the most things I've bought out of the premium shop have been the Weekend Captain's Pass. 1500 in doubloons and 2 or 3 days of premium time is always useful and if you buy one or two of them late on Sun. you can play your premium time during the week. Oddly enough even though this is one of the few weekends they haven't offered the WCP there is something better. For the same price as 2 WCPs not only do you get the same in doubloons and premium time but a ship, port slot and a truck load of consumables. I'm talking of course about the Smith super bundle which seems to have been universally panned in the forum but if you forget about the ship it's not a bad little bundle. Convert everything in the bundle to doubloons and if you were to buy the equivalent it comes to $17.97 and a weeks premium time comes to $6.69. So you're already ahead several bucks. Add the cherry on top of a Main Artillery Mod1 and the 866250 in credits when you sell the Smith like I did and it's a useful way for me to support my favorite gaming company. Really it's mostly the premium time that sells a bundle for me because that time applies to all the ships I play. I still have a week of premium time I'm working on from the Arizona bundle I got. After adding up all the extras in that bundle I figured I paid $14 and change for a real sweet ship that practically prints credits, but it's that premium time that's been building my bank accounts in anticipation of the German BBs. Oh please forgive me for my little rant... now that my unfortunate venting is over I must concur with the original poster... bundles with premium time benefit all my ships! That is why I got the Krasny Krym deluxe bundle... the premium time and of course the cool Soviet Guard Flag I plan on getting the Smith bundle as that will get me another cute little destroyer in addition to premium time and other neat bonuses! I'm hoping some more premiums will go on sale over the next couple of days, and that 360 days of premium time is a bargain but the only thing being if you grab a year you'd want to be sure you will play consistently. Then got that bundle with all the credits and gold (the small one.) Funny thing is, next game there were 2 or 3 Smiths. One guy went on a mini rant about how he couldn't believe folks would waste their money on that, and WHY??? Lol- half the players on both teams answered him with some version of " Because we CAN!" or " because I like WWI ships". Shut him right up! Considering how the boards have $hat upon that lil ship today- there sure were a lot of people who bought it. Not sure when I'll actually play it, but I'll get around to it sometime. I'm zero'd in on Yorck at the moment- that ship WILL be in my port soon, dammit!! It looks like August 16-19 time-frame if I have to guess (and I do). At least I now have enough free exp to fully unlock the German BB line when it eventually comes out though. Burnt to a cinder by an Atago and a Lo Yang. Enemy Tirp got some lead into me, as well, plus someone got a single torp hit on me. Full salvos landing amidships on enemy Tirpitz just did a few thou damage. At least I got to one salvo nuke that Atago!! ( HEY- screw you AND your HE! Eat that!) It was that, or miss completely.
