OK, let's come up with German Battleship nicknames for when the next patch comes. I'm going to start off with Friedrich der Grobe as.. hmm.. fried riches? Just fried chicken? Choices, choices..

How about nicknames for the French BB?

"Pirates of the white flag"

"Full speed reverse!"

"Napoleon would be ashamed"

How about refraining from ignorant French-bashing?

How about refraining from ignorant French-bashing?

It's not the bashing itself, but the old, boring and outdated joke (and attendant lack of creativity) it represents. Seriously, French-bashing is older and more stupid than "All your base..."

Given his sig has a fake down vote button on it, I'm sure he was aiming for rock bottom.  Talk about a desperate cry for negative attention.

Why not just refer to them by a shortened version of their name....in your example, "Fred".

+1 to your +1, so many sensitives. Not that I condone or scorn it, it's just not even worth caring about lol.

I'm kind of against having "The" in the title of every nickname. I do like "Biscuit" though.

Let's see.

Tier 3 Nassau: The Nass

Tier 4 Kaiser: No nickname needed

Tier 5 Konig:   The Kong

Tier 6 Bayern: The Aspirin

Tier 7 Gneisenau: -->The Guinea <--

Tier 8 Bismarck: The Biz

Tier 9 Friedrick der Grobe: The Freddy

Tier 10 Grober Kurfurst: The First

If we want to get huffy about things, that could be considered derogatory.

It has nothing to do with sensitivity; it's just an old, unfunny joke that needs to stay buried. When was the last time you heard anyone make a dead baby joke that was actually humorous?

1. You should not treat racism with apathy.  That leads to the dark side.

2. Fair point.

How does that analogy even make sense? My main point was you're going to see that a lot, especially on public boards that involve WW2. I agree you're right that is is old and can be considered unfunny. I just don't see why putting an effort forward to battling it is worth the time. It takes away from the OP's thread and starts what we are doing now, a needless debate.

Perhaps referring to it as "sensitives" was an incorrect term, but I personally don't see the logic in commenting on it. People are going to do what they are going to do, and unless it's a direct violation of policy you kind of just have to take it with a grain of salt. Then put that salt on the T8 Biscuit with some T6 Butters.

That wasn't racism.

So Skramjet mentioning that French Battleships should be named for retreating from battle is not racism?
