Why are 2x T2 Noviks allowed in a T7 game?

Had a Saipan queue with 2x Noviks on my team.

Why is this allowed?  Matchmaker should not allow you to queue if there is more than a 2-tier difference.

They're going to remove that possibility with divisions soon supposedly.

Division fail...and I've heard things in other forums that WG is going to do something to prevent the creation of divisions with significant (not sure what that actually means) tier differentials.  That said, MM was on a serious bender earlier today.  I was in a T7 battle with only 8 ships per team, and each team had a failed division that included T4 ships.  I was only in queue for like 30 seconds and asked if anyone was in queue a long time (hence MM just made the best match possible to clear them out of the queue) but no one responded, and most agreed that it was a bizarre battle.

Wanna know how MM can be fixed so there won't be much Tier differences/small matches?

Instead of the algorithm trying to get players in a match ASAP, wait a little longer and the matches will be fine.

One of the very old issues with WG's games; allowing fail platoons/divisions.  This could have been resolved in WoT more than half a decade ago, and nipped in the bud with WoWS's public release, but nope.  WG's excuse?  Something along the lines of not wanting to interfere with the social interactions of players.

Right...

A few days ago, someone mentioned here in the forums a comment posted in Reddit (of all places) by a so-called WG "employee", saying he thought that the fail division situation "sucks", and that it will be "fixed" in the next patch or two.

Again:  Right...

I've long since consigned myself to the unfortunate prospect that fail divisions are here to stay, regardless of what anyone says.  Why?  It's been one of the most obvious and annoying chronic issues afflicting the game throughout it's existence, one that apparently has a relatively easy fix (some kind of if/then exclusion logic), yet nothing has ever been done about it.

I rarely see companies that allow such glaring failures to remain as part of their operating procedure like Wargaming does.  Only the U.S. government with their affirmative-action quotas over merit beats them.  I almost think they are at they point where they have said "We've already made way more money than we ever thought we would, F it."

So weird to me, having originally come from WoTC where sometimes it's impossible to platoon with same-tier vehicles because one has preferred matchmaking. Two up or down was the limit, and it was pretty much a guarantee that whoever had the top-tier tank in the platoon would be bottom-tier for the match. Tier 7 and 8 platoon? Welcome to a tier 10 game. Dunno why WG doesn't do that with WoWS.

Also the Reddit Q&A was advertised on the WoWS homepage.

Again, the issue has been discussed ad nauseum in Tanks for years now, and now the song-and-dance continues with Ships.  "Real" employee or not, I'm not buying it.  People can say whatever they want, doesn't mean it's true.

I'll believe it when exclusions of fail divisions are actually implemented in the game.  Until then, it is not something I'm optimistic about ever seeing happen.

...:hmm:...

noticed and have seen previous posts on this very topic.

It has been a growing trend [lower tier div'd with higher tier] and I think for various reasons.

It could be that friends are bringing friends [or new player(s)] to show what the higher tier battles are like, or,

and this maybe the more obvious reason, as it can be an exploit to bring the lower tier into the battle as they could potentially

if possible [survive or get the "kill shot"] to have greater gains [creds, free xp, xp, points for capt skills].

Not to mention, to purposely create a fail div.

If the latter two reasons are truly the issue at hand and the common thinking is such,

[both of which can or could be seen as violations under the New Rules Policy "as unfair gameplay"]

then you can certainly believe this will be noticed and non existent soon.

WoT Console fixed the issue in months.  There is still some leeway but it's at worst 1 Tier too far.   I can't remember if they fixed it for lights like the Chafee but I think they did.

No, on the contrary they specifically said there is no plans to address it. They don't want to interfere with people having fun apparently.
