Any clue when Team battle will start again? Can't seem to find it anywhere. Am I just looking in wrong places or have they not announced it?

VOIP would be even more useful if a "team" in Team Battles or the team in Ranked could all use it. It is a great enhancement but being limited to a division is still a bit of a handicap. This is not a whine or rant! That would make both those game modes worth playing.

Considering the failure of its initial release, i don't see it coming back anytime soon.

There was reference on Ranked Season 5 on Reddit (by Q) but nothing about teams... Which is sad - team was great interesting (plus we have voip now)

Teams have always used voip....it simply wasn't built in.

And it was my understanding that team battles had a number of issues, poor interface, teams stuck in queue, and was really only used by a very limited slice of the population.

Closest thing this game has to CW. Need something to attract more ex-WOT players or at least give them the excuse to play WOWS also.

Yep, WOWS is just tanking it on the team play side.  Just tanking it.  You would have thought the epic failure of WOWP and the meltdown of AW would have clued in WG that team play is vital, essential to MMO growth and success for 20th century history based combat MMOs.  But no, here we are a year after release, and there are no Clans, no clan wars, no team battles.  It stinks.

I had about 20 crossovers players from my WOT clan, and all but about 5 have dropped out of WOWS due to the paltry effort at team activity.

It's sad....A game is only released once and you don't get a do over.  The post release hoopla and momentum is now gone forever.

They need to bring in Team battles, tournaments, and clans this year.  There was a post on the EU forum (apparently) indicating there may be something coming this year.  But it's hard to confirm when it's original post is in a foreign language.

By this time, WOT had tournaments, clans, AND clan wars active in that game....and that's a primary reason why the player base exploded with rapid growth in the first 24 months.

Clans are a minority group in most games. Run around in most MMOs, you'll see more clanless people than people in clans. Do you you have data saying clans were a direct reason for population increase? Clans can increase longevity of a player playing the game but it's not going to bring a huge influx of players. Either way, we don't need official implementation to have clans. Team battles was never implemented for clans anyway not to mention how just terribly bad they are. There's no reason to play them.

If you were right, then WOWP and AW and WT should have both grown at the exact same pace of WOT.  And they did not, and have not.  Two of them are on life support, and one has lost steam and is shrinking quickly.

WOT, continues to dominate the field and remains healthy after 5 years.   5 years.    It has fended off a number of quality competitors.   The primary reason is the resilience and the energy created by the clans.  Clans provide a social network for players that has proven very strong.  It influences players to grind quicker and higher, and outfit their vehicles with the very best crews and equipment.  This results in more cash coming into the game which funds more development.

The foregoing facts are undisputable.   Just undisputable.  To claim otherwise, that is to claim that it is simply a coincidence that WOT has succeeded in a major way while the other three have stagnated or failed is just hogwash and everyone experienced in all four games knows it.

Clan changes in WoT have effectively killed clans in WoT. Clan wars is a joke compared to what it started as. Unicum clans getting mapped without even losing a battle. If that's what you want then god help ships because it'll kill clans before it even starts. Clans are still a minority in tanks. Still waiting on some statistics to support claims that clans lead to influx of players. WT is dying due to terrible balance decisions. WoWP faile due to terrible mechanics. AW is failing because of terrible mechanics.

"killed clans in WoT..."????  Seriously?  Have you looked at the clan global map lately?  Have you looked at the number of battles fought by clans?   Dude seriously?  Look at the number of clan and clan members in the clan ratings. There's data all over the place on the WOT website indicating the popularity of clans.

Setting that immense set of data aside, you still can't answer why WOWP, AW, and WT failed or are failing miserably.   You run from that issue.

Where's your data that somehow the massive growth in WOT had nothing to do with clans?   There is no such data because that claim is bogus.

Well i guess we're at an impasse because you can't prove your claim either. Clans aren't going to survive if CW 2.0 shafts them constantly. Yeah there's a bunch of clans on the map but do you have any idea the ludicrous amount of work it ia just to get there? It's not about how skilled the clan is anymore which is a major issue.

Can't prove it???  I just did.   You just refuse to acknowledge the huge set of data that exists for anyone to see on the WOT website.

And besides that.  YOU are my best proof.  Obviously you must have joined a clan or two in WOT.  So they proved attractive enough to get you in a clan....You're my Exhibit A....

You're making claims. Claims are not evidence. You are drawing comnections between different games without anything to support your claims. Clans i joined in tanks didn't keep me in tanks. The mechanics in tanks pushed me out. Why would a clan keep me in a game i'm not having fun in?

You provided no evidence to support clans=success. Neither of you have "proven" anything. At least macabe admits he has no conclusive proof.

Anything i say is purely anecdotal. :/ Literally only doing this to get actual data.

Yeah i guess it's just a total coincidence that WOT exploded in player counts and online counts when clans were formed and clan wars started, with the game going from 5000 players on line to over 30000 players on line in NA alone in primetime in 36 months after release, while WOWP and AW died in infancy, and WT has totally stagnated and is now shrinking in the market.  Just a total coincidence.

That's a claim. Claims aren't evidence. I co-lead a clan of nearly 300 people, if i thought clan stuf would help i'd be creating threads every other day.

Hellooooooo?????   ahahahah you yourself "co-lead a clan of nearly 300 people."   ahahahahah  seriously, dude....and you are trying to claim clans don't matter.   Epic hypocrisy...just epic

Not only are my exhibit A, you are all I need to prove the issue.  You yourself are all I need to prove this beyond a shadow of a doubt.   No further questions your honor.   The case is over.  I won on all counts.

But I thank for your admission on this....

In any event good discussion and I hope you take my responses in good humor ....thanks for your input on this thread....all opinions are valuable and provide good food for thought for all of us...

I have to get some real work done.  I will see you on the seas of battle good sir....

Just because he's in a clan doesn't mean that clan content is a game changer. It means that he's in a clan. You win on zero counts. You've provided zero facts to equate game growth with clans. None. You claim that WOT grew 6 times due to clans. Where are your links? Where's the facts? You've presented none. In your mind, you have linked clans with success but offered no proof, even though you make the claim that other claims are some how proof. Show me an interview with WG folks where their analysis of data indicates that clan content multiplied their customer base six fold.

Anything less is conjecture on your part and not admissible for evidence. Claims are just that. Claims.

WOT CW before 2.0 there was about 40K players on peak time on the NA server.  WOT CW after 2.0 and your lucky to see 20K on at peak time. Playing WOT and having almost 700 CW fights with a 62% win rate and 18 tier tens got me in some serious CW action nightly in the glory days.  I wont touch it with a ten foot pole now and I haven't play tanks since Jan 2016. Coordinated team play, TS, map tactic, muster time and big enough good payouts to pay for my monthly premium time made it worthwhile. It will never be like it was in 2012-2013. Burning Legion TS with over 450 players on it nightly is now gone forever. WOWS doesn't get SOMETHING going it will never get more than 10k-11k players a night and players that crave organized team activities will leave WOWS also.

Sorry.  Signed, ex Rel_3 DC.  Although, that much purple on the map was bound to start fighting amongst itself eventually, even without the external pressure of a server war like Purple Dawn.

But yeah, I agree, 2012-2013 Clan Wars was a hell of a lot of fun.  I'm pessimistic that WoWS will ever have anything quite like it, but I'm hopeful that whatever we get (if anything) will be significantly better than the grind-heavy original version of CW 2.0.

Those were indeed glory days in CW when it was simple, easy to understand, and easy to get involved.  And the competition was superb with a very high level of play....
