I was very close to finishing the missions necessary to get the Mikasa, but I didn't finish it in time and I would like the opportunity to purchase the Mikasa in the premium shop.

Ummm... i personally don't think it's worth buying with real money anyways. It's not a "good" ship by any standard. It's fun, but it's not all that powerful.

I'd buy any ship WG would put out, I hate playing to earn them. I have $ for them all, so if WG puts out ANY ship in the prem shop, then so be it WG and take my $. :B

They have been selling it on the EU server  for so long.

I would buy it for $ 1.99 since it is a crap ship ( in game ) and collecting digital goods is not something I understand

People will buy anything, offer Wargaming a high enough price and maybe they will respond.

How on earth did some people miss out... 150 kills (aprox) / 30 days = 5 average.

Because some people don't have time to play everyday?

The requirements for the initial ARP ships were harder to complete.

And that's why some people didn't get them. No one said the missions were hard, it's just they didn't get the ship.

I hate that argument. The ARP missions gave people 2 months for the first set and a month for the second set. The second set was even easier than the first. Both sets were finished in a day for me. Time, time, time, ah thats rubbish. What can you only play 3 matches a week? Let me tell you, one day is all you need. Can't do that? Welp there's a reason why you have a month and 4-5 weekends to do it. These missions are for people who actively play the game, its a reward for those who continue to support the game.

This is complete [edited]. You have no idea what other people's home situation is like, nor do you know how hard this game is for them. Just because you can afford to spend an entire day doing nothing but play this game doesn't mean others can. Did you consider that he may have to actually work for a living? On top of that, some people find it hard to get even 1 kill in any given match, or even a whole string of matches. And let's not forget people like me, who have to work 5-6 days a week, and then can only manage 2-3 games before needing to go do something else (some of us actually have to maintain our own houses you know). Or those who simply get frustrated after a few games and need to do something else before they break their own computer. Some people have families they need to spend time with. And I haven't even gotten to the people who may have actual, serious medical conditions that prevent them from playing for too long. So before you start pissing and moaning about the not enough time argument, you should consider that some people genuinely do not have the time. This game is not the be-all and end-all of other people's universe. Grow up.

Grow up? Oh boy, this is gonna be fun

Lets address this first...

I'm guessing your assumption of me is some person who has way too much time on their hands and expects everyone is just like me. You assume I don't work for a living; that I'm just some asinine prick who expects that if you can't keep up, don't step up. Basically, I'm a thoughtless, immature, dolt who has nothing better to do than play games. Well sorry to burst your bubble, but your delusions are not reality unfortunately for you. Ironic as you've spent more money on this game than I, seeing as you own sizable roster of premium ships...

Yes I did consider the fact that OP may be working for a living, as am I. I even did a background check and observed that he's only managed ~600 battles in little over 6 months. Now the conclusion can be made that either WoWs isn't his primary cup of tea or that he just has other commitments that take up his time. Well then let me ask: if this were the case, why did he bother attempting to try the missions anyway? If he did not any time at all, the OP would have said so and asked that the ship be made available for those who can't set aside time to finish the missions; he would've been arguing from a different standpoint and/or provided a small anecdote to give clarity. However, they did not, so the aforementioned case(s) are null.

Ok so lets consider that the issue is about skill, I'll keep it relative to the Mikasa itself rather discuss the ARP mission as while relevant, are not the topic of discussion. Ok so the Mikasa mission called for kills, not dmg. Dmg is more of a mix between RNG and skill. Kills, is quite literally, getting the last hit. I'm not endorsing kill stealing, but the notion that players did not have actively dmg them, but rather get the killing blow, is much easier for newer or lesser skilled players. Its easier while also being harder. For me racking up dmg would be no problem, for him it would - if the case is that he is bad. Likewise, if its just kills, then it eliminates skill as a key factor, making it more accessible to him.

You make it sound like housework or tending to the homestead is a concept that is foreign to me. au contraire. Ever since I was a wee lass, I've been relegated the duties around the house and still do now. As for the financial and "external" management I entrust that with my significant other. Not for nothing but our relationship is strong and I make sure that I spend time with them. If the OP has time to entertain himself with games then it can inferred that he's balancing the needs of his family and his own self-fulfillment. Though how can it inferred that he has a family? Therefore, the family clause is made mute.

It doesn't need to be stated that this game is not the end all, be all of certain people. If we can agree on that then can't you see you've already reinforced my earlier point? This is mission is tailored to people who spend a majority of their free time with this game (or money in your case, with all the premium ships you own..). This mission is designed for those who play on a regular, or active, or consistent basis. It doesn't have to mean full-on dedication - though it can with certain people - it can just mean causal play. Have you ever heard the statistic that majority of today's gamers (~71% depending on how you interpret) are well into their 20s and 30s? We have a generation who can balance their life and own self gratification. Guess what? I'm one of them and you maybe too!

Honestly was your response in defense of the other post or more of you just projecting ?

If thats the case, then I'd advise you grow up :teethhappy:

I didn't want to make anyone upset by starting this topic, but I know that the ship is in the premium shop on the European server and I think it is only fair that we have a chance to buy it if we choose.

tbf it was on the premium shop for a weekend, though this was prior to the event and there was no news coverage. I would compromise by saying sell in the premium shop, but at a way later date

And you didn't upset anyone, salt is prevalent on these forums

Well, I missed it if it was on sale before and it would be nice if they offered it again for those who didn't finish the mission.

The Mikasa might have made a better premium then a give away.  She a pretty ship, but she's a one-trick pony with the secondaries, and if anyone knows about it and knows to keep range on her, she's a worthless ship.  If the Mikasa's were rare, then I could see her being an effective ship, since no one would know about her strengths, but since The Mikasa is common now, she's just a curiosity in people's harbor.  The only battles she can shine in is co-op against the AI.

The Mikasa is not at all a ship to spend money on. It was given as a prize for the Christmas Ornament contest and then the prize for the recent mission. It is fun to use as a diversion but not so much fun to consider spending real money to obtain.

I know that the Mikasa is available for purchase on the European server, so why don't they offer it here as well? I'm sure it is not difficult to add it in the premium shop.  I know that it's not an amazing ship but it is fun, to me at least, and I want to have it in my port should I choose to bring it into battle.  I messaged support about it being in the premium shop and they simply said it is only a reward ship for completing the mission.  I understand they want to protect people's hard work, but it is not like they gave out some tier x monster ship for their accomplishment.  They offered the Emden after the mission was over, and I think that they should do the same for the MIkasa.

Premium shop + Mikasa = more money for Wargaming

I couldn't do it because my internet was shut off after a week last month, so I didn't get Mikasa. Even though I wanted her so bad/

Wargaming could put out an untextured cube and people would still buy it.

With the 5.10 patch Mikasa is pretty much screwed since it now faces tier 2-3 ships only. No more tier 1s to get CQEs from.

Shame. It was the only low tier ship (premium) to run for fun and maybe getting those flags in.

Yeah new patch seriously diminished my motivation to play Mikasa and even my Emden.  But with everyone dropping back down to tier 3 for the German BB's probably why they segregated the Tier 1's.
