Which nation's cruisers you think look the best? As for me, I think that IJN cruisers are consistently sexier, but the Hipper and Molotov stand out for me as examples from other nations that are really good looking. On the other side of the coin, I think that Dmitri Donskoi stands out as the ugliest cruiser in the game right now imo.

Myoko, Mogami, Ibuki and the Zao are the best looking ships in the game, no doubt about it.

Aesthetically, USN.

Release-the-beast, IJN.

Myoko and up are beautiful IMO, Furutaka and Aoba aren't far behind, also, to me the Hindenburg looks ugly, the turrets just aren't right. Perfectly fine with the Dmitri Donskoi though.

I love the USN's designs, they are sleek, clean, and very uniform in design, not to mention, the bridges of the higher tier cruisers are also quite good looking.

I think that Atago is the most handsome cruiser in game, and will be until something like Emanuele Filiberto Duca d'Aosta shows up.

The RM greyhounds.

Purely visual:

Favorite: german. Specifically Hipper, Hindenburg, and Nurnberg, in that order.

Least favorite: japanese. Which is really ironic considering I tend to love japanese-pretty-much-anything from culture to asthetics to w/e. They don't look bad per-se, but german ships have some strange charm to them, american ships look very unique, and russian ships look like japanese ships just a bit better. I do like the blue steel the japanese ships use though. Makes it hard to put them after russian ships.

Aesthetics: Kriegsmarine

But the Takao Class Cruisers are gorgeous.

Funny thing, came up for this poll when I spectated an Atago after I died and said "damn, that ship's really sexy." It seems a lot of people share that opinion about the Takao-class.

I'd say the Atago is one of the more aesthetically pleasing IJN ships of the bunch. It just has a neater looking superstructure. #NoBias :P

But no, this question probably stumped me harder than it should.. I thought about it and for the life of me, could not recall the styles of the different cruiser lines other than the Japanese one and a bit of the American one

German Cruisers are quite beautiful, which tends to be a hallmark of most German Warships, especially during the WW2 Era.

IJN Cruisers are very purdy, just wish the camo were a bit better. Zao and Myoko in particular are sexy. German cruisers meanwhile I find unappealing, they are uniform and rigid and kinda bulky. The Russians get bulky, but embrace it, the Germans get bulky and try and hide it.

What I love aesthetically about the Takao-class, is that to me, the bridge screams 'modern warship' but it still looks like a ship of that era.

So, simply put, it looks like the perfect mix between what we see in warship design in modern day, but still has all the beauty and uniqueness of the now antique world war era warships. It's lines are sleek, and the hull, bridge, and everything about it's design has a nice flow to it. It looks like an artist designed the hull lines, rather than naval engineers and designers.

For me, the uglier ships tend to be the paper ones, especially from loose sketches in which WG's 3D artists have to do a lot of creative filling.  This is in contrast to ships that were actually designed by naval architects, even at least paper ships that was designed by naval architects in detail.

For me the best looking ships are the Hipper class, Takao class, the Kirov class and its subclasses like the Molotov.

I have to say that on sheer aesthetics, the Japanese cruisers win, hands down. The Atago's sweeping bow, blue camp and slim lines are particularly gorgeous.

I quite like those Cleveland-styled hulls of certain USN Cruisers, Baltimore being real nice to my eyes.  It sported the newer 8" gun turrets and had a far more modern look than Pensacola, Indianapolis, New Orleans.  It's just so sad that Baltimore is so terrible in this game.  Her visuals were the one saving grace in WoWS.
