Already have aft was thinking going for SE or DE.  I can't decide if was thinkingoing maybe the DE would boost the HE it's frustrating in 1v1 dd battles the number of hits it takes to kill them vs keith.stern@reebok.com.  of course the extra hp is always nice.

Here is the skill set I would use if keeping the Tashkent permanently.

There will be people who will disagree with me on the use of concealment expert but it does give two benefits. It is true you are still detected before IJN and US DDs and they will spot you before you spot them. What it will do is reduce the amount of time you are spotted by those DDs and lets you avoided being spotted as often by cruisers and battleships if you get caught up in firing and forget to look around. The other benefit is illustrated best by the spreadsheet here:

Having the Concealment Expert skill actually allows you to invisifire your guns (1.3 km buffer). The Tashkent is already disabled a little with having shorter range guns than the Ognevoi and Kiev below it and Udaloi and Khabarosk above it so any ability to invisifire helps greatly.

Currently with a 14 point skill captain, I definitely agree with spending both on AFT and DE to take maximum advantage of the tashkent's strengths, which are its range and damage in the form of cuts and burns from fires.

Tashkent is not a knife fighter and should only get in one if there are no other options. Spending 4 points on SE over AFT or DE is not what I personally recommend.

A skilled Fubuki captain will devastate a Tashkent up close if he/she knows to use the powerful guns on it even if the Tashkent may emerge victorious. A Benson will just destroy Tashkent with its pure DPS in the fact that it can actually hit things up close assuming equal skill in captains.

Note that a Benson benefits heavily with SE and not AFT. Tashkent is the exact opposite. It benefits way more with AFT to snipe at range than any extra health pool that would get obliterated within seconds by having no rudder maneuverability to speak of with its cruiser sized hit box.

My original captain loadout as a 13 point captain that seemed to work effectively.

I sacrificed turret rotation speed and ship survivability for the extra fire chance upon getting my 14th point.

Burning BBs repeatedly to get 60k+ damage with nothing other than spam clicking is the most satisfying guilty pleasure to acquire while driving the ship others call the "Trashkent".

It is pretty much a toss-up between DE and SE.

It really comes down to your own experience. Do you lack that bit of fire chance to do damage to BBs? Or do you lack that bit of health to have better chance against enemy DDs?
