How was your weekend spree?

Goldeneagle is getting rather fond of divisions with me. I must nerf myself XD

 

Pretty sure it's just MM giving me a middle finger, but there seem to be a lot more good players fighting me; several matches I survived but my team just melted or fled. Just where are these players going to have fun brawling if they just panic? Lol.

 

About 20-25 battles, saw 3 other players Detonate. 3 dds either from enemy or ally team just went boom out of nowhere. Caught a beached Mahan, aimed at his rear turret and ripple fired. 3rd HE Detonated him. IMO Detonation's balanced, a Kongo's secondaries Detonated me in Clemson several matches later!

 

I think Goldeagle also stated he's been Detonated with the anti-det flag on?

 

Still get humiliating reminders to broadside sparingly. Maybe more BB players watched guides and are running AP regularly, because I haven't seen so many volleys at my Furrytaco, Hipper, Ibuki, and ARP Myoko's citadels before!

 

Shokaku is feast or famine ship like high-tiers BBs, I guess. Had a T8-10 where an ASx2 lexington made it hell for my sorties and a MK I didn't know was in the middle bagged me -_-

--Had a better T8-10 right after. Strike Lexington had east flank to himself (I let my teammates know my air support would be west only), I catch a lone Mogami well away from DM no-fly and bagged him. Didn't matter that he used DF, I cross-drop TB to ensure DF works for me; follow-up DB drops him.

--Spent some 5 or so minutes camping a Shimakaze that threatened west flank. Cocky idiot, I can easily manual drop on him no matter where he turns, and TB cross-drop to ensure at least 1 torp hit. Instead of fleeing to a NC only 11km away from him, he stays alone. I bagged him for 2nd kill.

--Helped finish off the Yamato that charged into east flank alone.

Saw iChase in his Arizone a couple weeks ago.

Sadly we lost that match and he went down with his ship. We'll miss his tutorials!

I only got to play a few games on Saturday. All of my games were pretty decent though for awhile I could not buy a win in my Atlanta. I even manage to lose this game:

 

 

I kick myself in hindsight for that one because when I watch the replay I saw a few tactical errors I made that might have prolonged my life and allowed me to carry the team to a win. Thankfully, I can always move to my Benson and pad my WR.

I had 100% Win Rate this weekend. Happy with how it turned out even though the sample size was much smaller than my usual number of weekend battles. Got my Tashkent at last and stand a dozen battles away from the Dmitri Donskoi. Now the problem becomes credits, I ran low on them after buying yet another high tier ship and should be grinding my Premiums for income during the week.

 

By the way Reymu, let's division again one of these days!

7 battles in my Iowa and I finally got my first victory!

 

Yeah, I know, minor thing. But I'm still making adjustments to my playstyle after getting accustomed to NC. Not to mention my Iowa was stock until just before the 7th battle, when I upgraded the engines.

 

I think Goldeagle also stated he's been Detonated with the anti-det flag on?

 

 

Yeah, apparently we were all wrong and the "-100%" isn't just a straight-up detonation denier, but part of a formula. So the flag just makes detonations extremely unlikely, but not impossible.

I was in one of those games Re.... seemed it fell apart sooner than it should....of course I beached twice, and Golden was right on that to remind me, LOL.

Seems when I div with my buddy we do much better than I seem to sometimes do solo.. He was away all week, but I still did pretty good....

I finished the Mikasa grind last night.  I only play 2-3 times a week, so it took me a long time.  My girlfriend had a rare weekend off from work and I didn't play as much as I planned.  Still, I was able to get my last 8 kills in 5 games yesterday so it worked out.

Friday and Saturday about normal, maybe a little better than normal. Played my IJN Friday, including the ARP, played my small fleets Saturday, RN, Polish, Russian, and German, with a few USN mixed in both days, then played (most of) my USN on Sunday.

 

Sunday started out with a four win streak, even if they weren't completely awesome games.

 

Ranger and Saipan both for the win; Ranger as 2-0-2 and simply a harasser, Saipan as 2-2-0, because I'm trying to get used to the torp loadout, even though I think it's useless garbage. Both unspectacular wins. Next were a Colorado match, (currently running Colorado as an experiment in skill; started out with a ZERO point captain, and ran with it; including conversion training for his original ship; I've actually done pretty good with it,) next was a typical New Mexico game.

 

The the losing started; tried out my Arizona and had my first 100k+ damage game in it; a bit of a fluke, since my map awareness can sometime be bad, but that time it wasn't. First place, Dry Heat, and a loss.

 

Things kind of so-so after that; lots of plus-2 up-tiered games, including one were I unfortunately blew up at another player, (HATE Russian high-tier ships and their lasers with a passion,) gave up on my Farragut after three losses, played Marblehead and had a good charge and sank a Texas while an ally held off a DD trying to flank me.

 

Quit for dinner, then came back for a so-so game and a win with Cleveland, and one last try with Farragut for a win.

 

Ended Sunday at least with a 57% WR.

Finally found some teams that wanted to win yesterday! Playing stock Mogami and ranking 1-3 in T9-10 dominant matches just makes me rage a little. ( So, Saturday felt like I was being kicked in the nuts with the teams I was getting)

 

Don't know if I am even going to waste the XP getting the 203's, I'm having a blast with the 155's and doing pretty consistent damage with them too!

I spent my time playing tournaments in World of Tanks since World of Warships does not currently offer them.  Had a lot a fun and earn 400 gold, just saying.

Had some great dd games! I do have a question for  y'all. Do you find that mm rarely put tier 5 and 6 ships as top tiered ships now? I haven't been top tiered in any of the tier 5 or 6 ships at all this weekend.

Was fortunate enough to win a Gremy through an in-game contest, so I took her out for a spin this weekend. First game was a T7 match:

 

To be totally honest, I feel super guilty playing that ship and have only taken it out again once since.

 

My other notable experience this weekend was less positive: a friendly Atago torped me (3 hits) in my Fubuki while I was capping the point right in front of him. Wasn't enough to kill me, but it took around 3/4s of my HP and forced me to course change into the path of enemy torps that finished the job. This is when I found out that the friendly damage compensation is not enough to actually pay for your repairs at T8, and does not take into account your camouflage and premium consumable expenses at all. So, I lost money because of that.

 

WRs and stuff... I don't know, I don't actually care about those. I'm sure my Mikasa spree didn't help them any, though.

What weekend spree?

 

Friday was great, Had a bunch of great battles- in my South Carolina!!   Seriously!  That ship was destroying things left and right.   Myogis?  Check.  Wyomings? Check.  Other South Carolina's?  Check.  Destroyers?  Check.  Had a glorious 5 kill battle one game.

 

  I was having such good luck, I switched to Svetty.   Ended up having a massive damage game with 7 torpedo hits, and 2 BB kills.  Not bad for "useless 4 km torpedoes".

 

  What a day!

 

  Saturday, I didn't play at all.   Horrible case of dontfeellikeit-itis...  (aka the lackawannas)    Matter of fact, I only played Wed and Fri last week.  Just didn't have the desire.   Today will be another no-play day, seeing as it's now after 11 pm on a work night.

 

  Sunday.  Played 6 games, and quit in utter disgust.   HORRIBLE RNG.  Nothing was hitting, no points were being earned, and I was getting blown up every other battle.   Some stinky MM and teams, too.   Also, ping was through the roof and lag was nasty, too.   PHOOEY!!
