So why don't you give compliments more often?

I give compliments all the time, and +1 mandatory for me for anyone who scored a kraken!

Maybe because some of us don't believe in the silly Karma system?

Honestly I tend to forget, plus without looking at the replay you can't tell with certainty if they materially contributed or simply farmed on the backs of others. If I see conspicuously strong play I'll usually compliment on the spot.

I quit a lot of games when I die, so I often miss anyone playing well enough to compliment.  To get a compliment you have to do something skillful/helpful within my field of view, so it just doesn't happen often.  That and there is little incentive to compliment.

I often run out of complements when playing :)

I think it is a good idea to compliment someone for sharing tips to beginners and simply being generally nice people to talk to/play alongside... There has been more than one match where I was in a new ship and after telling my teammates just that they shared some tips to me on using the new ship... very kind of them.

Otherwise I will compliment people for being patient with me, providing cover fire, etcetera... I also tend to complement enemies who put up a very good battle.

But at the end of the day I do not mind if other people are less inclined to complement.

I always give people who scored extraordinarily high, got a kreken, or saved the team from losing, or whatever reason. I always run out if complements

I give compliments to ones that play very well, and the ones that carry, or get a Kraken The one absolute case where I always give a compliment is to a CV driver that parks a fighter near my Ninja DD and renders me ineffective. Rare, but it happens. They get a rec from me for a job well done.

i dont look for, nor care about anyones approvals.

its even more sad to now know that someone actually takes part of their lifetime and spends it on such useless event.

"useless" is relative, as the in the gran scheme of things, even playing this game can be considered "useless".

It's sad to see someone that finds this place and what other people do so "useless" that he has to continue to stick around and tell people how "useless" they are.

News flash: You and your degrading comments on everything are just as useless if not more useless than tits on a boar.

I always give one to any pain in the A$$ enemies if they hounded me through the match. I also give them to players who did something well in the match like spot or defend the base.

I don't bother too much with complaints but do hand them out to BBs who end the match on full health not having done much

I give them out to any player - team or red that does a outstanding game.

Also offer to hand out +karma to any team members that kill enemy DD's :)

I give them compliments out to the top players on both teams for my first three when I'm on a good mood, the last compliment I save for whoever gets the first Kraken in a battle I'm in, which sometimes ends up not happening and ends up not being given

Shame I can only do so for the first three battles since only 7 are available a day

I unfortunately run out of complaints before I run out of compliments.

Who knows; mine has fluctuated between 5 and 9. Don't think i'm that bad, but I guess bad enough to never stand out and collect + pionts in 4k and change games.

Try harder, maybe?!

As for me I try to give compliments often.

If I've had a game with good cooperation, or one where I think an enemy pulled a good play on me, I'll ofen give compliment points.

Complaint points are generally reserved for someone who hacked me off, are thankfully rare, (thank god I have at least that much self-control,) and are generally, if I am honest with myself, undeserved.

Rarest of all are points given for someone calling to report a bot. Generally I have better things to use the points on.

You earn the +1s if it's actually good. If there's biased reviews that the writers can't take criticism and report you for it then they don't deserve it. Also if the writers constantly make poor posts for the sake of +1s that's bad to.

I meant in-game karma, not the forum

I forget about it, and don't usually stay to see the end of the battle unless i'm alive. occasionally i do though, i think i gave one to Compass last night for being a good sport and listening to me smack talk in chat after he pegged me with a few Citadels. I may have made it my personal mission to burn that French ship to the water line.
