Is this normal? I was going full speed coming off a speed boost in the Izyaslav and going around the small island in the Northeast and within a ship's length went from 32 knots down to full stop. It didn't appear to me that I was that close to shore and the water didn't look that shallow. If this is normal, shouldn't there be some shallow indication on the map?

These shots were taken within seconds of one another. Notice ship's speed in each:

I've found the hitboxes for islands to be a bit iffy.

Yeah, I mean, there was no warning about even being near land.

Examining the shots more, I'm wonder if inadvertently hit stop. It's difficult to tell how it's set. Would be better if they'd have a box around your engine setting or a vastly different color.

Does the slightly bold lettering change based on your setting or your actual speed? It looks like the bold text kinda' follows the speed.

Not sure...  looking at the pics..

1)  you are set to full speed and increasing in speed but within a few seconds you hit speed boost buty drop requested speed to half.

2)  you are set to half speed and have applied speed boost which drops speed fast.

3)  10 seconds later with speed boost you are set to stop but havent got there yet, still moving foward slowly.

hitting islands stops you dead (I know this, don't ask) and you have moved some in the 10 seconds whilst decelerating fast.

I know I have cut that corner closer than you have as well..  do you have the replay?, otherwise next time in I will run close to that point and check it.
