Chapayev Radar

I apologize in advance if this has already been talked about here on the forum, but I just purchased the Chapayev and thought that one of the upgrades was radar.  Is this only available with the B hull?  The only choice I have for that slot is a spotter plane that makes my range over 21km. I don't mind that type of range but the lead time is hard to lock in at those distances.  Would much rather have radar for DD spotting.  I checked the patch notes and didn't notice any changes to that ship but I know I must be missing something.  Thanks in advance for your responses!

It's a consumable you add by buying the upgrade. Just got the Chapy myself, and I bought the upgrade for it. 

 

PS: I have the B hull, so I am not sure if it is available on the standard hull or not.

Okay, I went to port and checked my ship. Radar is not available with the A hull.

It's also worth noting, you lose the aircraft with the B hull but gain radar capability.

This radar lasts a little while (19 seconds) out to 11 km, and has a 6 minute recharge time, so you better be ready and be very good with the guns. A niche defense, like the 4 km torps.
