I've been playing about a week now.  I love the game.  I have a complaint and it's not a new one.  Seriously, I've seen the same complaint going back years now.  You really need to fix the keybinds.  Some of us lefties, and I'm sure others, need to play with different keys than your default choices.  Yes, I know, it's easy to change.  BUT it resets every time I log out for Speed Up, Slow Down, Hard to Starboard, and Hard to Port.  So, nearly every time I sign in I forget to reset those and my first battle is spent sitting still and firing my forward guns.  Is fixing this too much to ask?

Go to the control options menu on the in-game menu.

Send in a ticket? Mine always stick, not sure why some players are having this issue...

I can only assume they haven't been able to figure out what is causing the keys to reset. Perhaps putting a sticky note on your PC/Keyboard will help you remember to switch them before first game? You also don't have to spend the entire first battle like that, you can always change the keys mid-match the same way.

Is it possible this problem is caused when the key settings under 'Settings/Controls' are made, and a player just clicks 'Okay,' and not 'Apply' before clicking "Okay?'

AVR_Project, I couldn't have set the keybinds in the first place if I hadn't already gone there, but thanks anyway.

 

awiggin, if people are still having this same issue after years of it being reported, that's a problem.  And I wouldn't know that it had this long problem if I hadn't search this forum in the first place.  Thanks for trying, though.

 

Pulicat, much gracias!  I didn't realize we could access settings while in battle.  That's a huge help.  I'd only found those controls in port (upper left corner).
