The color pic again comes from: http://blog.livedoor.jp/irootoko_jr/ Here we can see a port bow shot of HNLMS Java in 1930 moored on Sydney, Australia. Of note is the construction of the Harbor Bridge in the background. Here is HNLMS Sumatra, sister to Java, this pic here showing the starboard beam, was taken in 1927 in Pearl Harbor. Here is the light cruiser HNLMS De Ruyter in a good starboard bow shot. She is most famous for her involvement in the disastrous Battle of the Java Sea where she as the flagship of Dutch Rear-Admiral Karel Doorman, where she was surprised by heavy cruisers IJN Haguro and IJN Nachi, she was struck by a single torpedo fired from Haguro and sank with 345 men including Rear-Admiral Karel Doorman and her captain Eugène Lacomblé. Here we see HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën, in a great starboard bow shot, she is the first of the De Zeven Provinciën-class destroyers in the Dutch navy. HNLMS Tromp (Not Trump), here in this excellent port bow shot of her. Here we see HNLMS De Ruyter, in this port beam shot about to recover her helicopter. Here is HNLMS Evertsen in this great shot of her starboard bow at anchor. Here is HNLMS Van Amstel at sea with her crew lined up on the decks. She is a frigate of the Karel Doorman-class. And finally here is HNLMS Van Speijk at sea performing a turn to starboard. And there is all the pics I have of the Koninklijke Marine, hope you enjoy and let me know if you want more of these I have plenty, trust me. Fair winds and following seas captains!

Also, I'm going to take the fact that you called the De Zeven Provincien class command and air-defense frigates (F802 ~ F805) destroyers, as a compliment. ;) They're 6000-odd tons displacement, and classified as frigates by the Dutch navy. They're the largest surface ships we have in active duty at this time, and very modern and capable ships, equal to anything anyone else has afloat in the same tonnage range. Here's something to add to your collection, as thank-you for posting these great shots: Absolute beauty, isn't she. HNLMS Holland, hull number P840, lead ship of the 'Holland' class offshore patrol vessels. These little 355 ft ships-that-could are 3750 ton patrol ships, armed with 1x rapid fire 76mm Oto Melara, 1x 30mm Oto Melara, 2x 12.7mm Browning M2HB and 6x 7.62mm FN MAG machineguns. These ships also have helicopter landing and hangar facilities capable of taking mid-sized helos, and are designed to counter lightly armed opponents such as pirates and smugglers. They have a trick up their sleeve though: Their radar, electronics suite and communication facilities are way 'overpowered' for a vessel of its size, allowing them to function as command-and-control hub. The wikipedia article that shows the active navy ships in the Dutch navy did say that they are really destroyers in terms of weight and size, and that they are considered as such by other navies so I went with the destroyer classification. Glad you liked them!

Without their armament and Thales manufactured radar dome and sensor mast they really look the part of a luxury yacht: P842 'Friesland' during sea trials.
