Actually the ship randomly just blows up during the game or in port, its not actually a higher detonation chance.

Along with Mutslug, they also plan to buff the USN cruisers New Orleans, Pensacola, and Baltimore. Devs say they are performing lower than expected so expect a buff... to their AA.

Hopefully the Pensacola gets her final refit which has the increased AA and the chopped mast, which can lower her visibility.
